Mary E. O'Connor (born 1959 [1] ) is a former Chicago city alderman. [2] She was the first female alderman to represent the 41st Ward of Chicago on the Northwest side of the city [3] - the largest geographic ward in Chicago including O'Hare International Airport. She was elected with 50.88% of the total vote on April 5,2011 in a runoff election, [4] replacing outgoing alderman Brian Doherty.
Mary O'Connor is also the owner of Unforgettable Edibles and O'Connor's Deli and Market in the 41st Ward. [5]
Mary O'Connor served the 41st Ward as Democratic Ward Committeeman from 2008 to 2015. [6]
O'Connor lost reelection as alderman to Anthony Napolitano in 2015.
After losing reelection,O'Connor was later hired by mayor Rahm Emanuel to work as the city's deputy commissioner in Planning and Development. [7]
Anthony A. Beale is an American politician and the alderman of the 9th ward of the City of Chicago,Illinois United States. Beale is noted as having been one of the youngest members to serve as elected official on the City of Chicago's City Council. Beale was elected in 1999,and is currently serving his sixth term. Latasha R. Thomas is an American politician and former alderman of the 17th Ward of the City of Chicago,Illinois,United States. Thomas was appointed to the position of alderman by Mayor Richard M. Daley in 2000,subsequently elected outright in a 2001 special election,and was re-elected in 2003,2007,and 2011. During her tenure as alderman,Thomas worked to get many of the schools within her ward renovated. In the fall of 2014 Thomas announced that she would not seek re-election in 2015 as alderman,following the announcement that a former employee would run in her place.

Sandra Lee Jackson is an American politician. She was elected to the Chicago City Council as an alderman of the 7th ward of the City of Chicago in the 2007 municipal elections held on February 27,2007. She succeeded Darcel A. Beavers who had been appointed by Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley after the 2006 November elections to succeed her father William Beavers,Jackson's rival,as alderman of the 7th Ward. Jackson resigned from Chicago City Council,effective January 15,2013. On February 20,2013,Jackson pleaded guilty to one count of filing false tax returns,and on August 14,2013 was sentenced to one year in prison.
Toni Lynn Preckwinkle is an American politician and the current Cook County Board President in Cook County,Illinois,United States. She was first elected as President of the Cook County Board of Commissioners,the executive branch of Cook County government,in November 2010 and became the first woman elected to this position. She was previously a five-term alderman in the Chicago City Council,representing Chicago's 4th ward. Preckwinkle was a candidate for Mayor of Chicago in the 2019 election,and advanced to the runoff election,which she lost to Lori Lightfoot.

Derrick G. Curtis is an American politician who has served as the alderman of Chicago's 18th ward since 2015. He became the Democratic committeeman of the ward in 2011 after Lona Lane stepped down from that position. Curtis had previously been the ward's Streets and Sanitation superintendent,with more than 25 years of experience as a precinct captain. He ran against Lane in the 2015 aldermanic race and defeated her in a runoff. He won reelection in 2019,defeating Chuks Onyezia in the first round.
Robert Shaw was an American politician. He served as a City of Chicago Alderman in the 9th ward for two terms,first in 1979 through 1983 and again from 1987 until 1998. Shaw also served as commissioner on the Cook County Board of Review from 1998 until 2004.
