Masked Republic is a website and media company that specializes in Lucha libre (mexican style professional wrestling) merchandise, ranging from wrestling masks, toys, [1] [2] clothes [3] and comic books. [4] [5] It is the largest seller of lucha libre related products and has also created their own wrestling Pay-per-views. [6] [7] [8] The company also has a charity division. It is run by founder and CEO Ruben Zamora, and President and COO Kevin Kleinrock. [9]

<i>Lucha libre</i> Mexican style professional wrestling

Lucha libre is the term used in Mexico for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, as well as "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere. The wearing of masks has developed special significance, and matches are sometimes contested in which the loser must permanently remove his mask, which is a wager with a high degree of weight attached. Tag team wrestling is especially prevalent in lucha libre, particularly matches with three-member teams, called trios.

Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Mexican professional wrestling promotion

Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Co., Ltd. is a lucha libre professional wrestling promotion based in Mexico City. The promotion was previously known as Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre (EMLL). Founded in 1933, it is the oldest professional wrestling promotion still in existence.

Kevin Kleinrock is an American executive producer, writer, director, consultant, and business developer. He is currently the President of and executive producer for lucha libre focused enterprise Masked Republic which produces Pay Per View events under the name "Viva La Lucha", live shows, multiple clothing lines, publishes a monthly English language lucha libre zine called Rudo Can't Fail, manages monthly lucha libre subscription box service Lucha Loot. The company is also in the process of developing multiple properties for television, film, and stage. He is the former producer of Xtreme Pro Wrestling. He is also the co-creator, producer and head booker of Wrestling Society X which aired on MTV and additional networks worldwide. In the wake of WSX, Kevin was ranked in the Pro Wrestling Torch Most Influential People In Wrestling list. Kevin currently consults with various wrestling, mixed martial arts and other live event and sports/entertainment related producers on production and monetization of content. Masked Republic and Kleinrock's Stone-Rock Entertainment company created and produced a pilot for a lucha related live Vegas show called Lucha Las Vegas.

Blue Demon Jr. Mexican professional wrestler

Blue Demon Jr. is a Mexican luchador and professional wrestler. He is the adopted son of the legendary original Blue Demon and is the first Mexican and the second masked wrestler to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship thus making him a one-time world champion. Stuka Jr. Mexican professional wrestler

Soberano Jr.'s real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. He is a third-generation wrestler, son of Euforia and grandson of Pablo Moreno Román, known under the ring name El Soberano. Soberano is Spanish for "Sovereign".

Gran Guerrero Mexican professional wrestler (born 1993)

Gran Guerrero is a Mexican luchador enmascarado, who works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). He portrays a rudo wrestling character. He was originally introduced to the wrestling world under the ring name Último Guerrero Jr. in 2009 as the storyline son of Último Guerrero. He later made his wrestling debut under the name Taurus. In 2013 he was given a new image, re-introduced under the ring name "Gran Guerrero", officially acknowledging that he was the much younger brother of Último Guerrero. Súper Luchas is a Spanish-language publication covering lucha libre and other forms of professional wrestling. The publication began as a print magazine in 1991 and later became the largest lucha libre magazine in the world and remained one of the few professional wrestling magazines to survive to the 2000s but now operates mainly as an online website. The website is the number one Spanish-language professional wrestling website in the world.

The Crash Lucha Libre Mexican professional wrestling promotion

The Crash Lucha Libre, also referred to as simply The Crash, is a lucha libre promotion based in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. The promotion largely runs its events in Tijuana, Mexico City, and Monterrey. The promotion currently has working relationships with American promotions DEFY Wrestling, PCW ULTRA, and International Wrestling Revolution Group and Promociones MDA, China's Oriental Wrestling Entertainment. The Crash previously had a working relationship with Impact Wrestling in US/Canada, Mexico's Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and Japan's Pro Wrestling Noah between 2016 and 2018, until Konnan, the intermediary between the promotions, left The Crash. On February 21, 2019 The Crash announced a partnership with Mexico's Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, America's Ring of Honor and Japan's New Japan Pro-Wrestling which would later on that year end in late September, on August 12, 2019, Major League Wrestling and The Crash Lucha Libre announced a working relationship which ended in November of that year when Major League Wrestling would work full time with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.

Triplemanía XXVII 2019 Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide event

Triplemanía XXVII was a professional wrestling event produced and scripted by the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) or Triple A. The event took place on August 3, 2019, at the Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico. It was the eighth consecutive Triplemanía to be held at the arena, and marked the 27th year in a row that AAA had held a Triplemanía show, and the 32nd overall show held under the Triplemanía banner since 1993. The annual Triplemanía show is AAA's biggest event of the year, serving as the culmination of major storylines in what has been described as AAA's version of WrestleMania or their Super Bowl.

CMLL 86th Anniversary Show 2019 Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre show

The CMLL 86th Anniversary Show was a major professional wrestling event, scripted and produced by the Mexican lucha libre wrestling company Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre that took place on September 27, 2019 in CMLL's home arena Arena México in Mexico City, Mexico. The show was the biggest show of the year for CMLL, considered their version of the Super Bowl or WrestleMania. This was the 92nd EMLL/CMLL Anniversary Show. The CMLL Anniversary Show series is the longest-running annual professional wrestling show, starting in 1934.

Atlantis Jr. is the ring name of a Mexican masked professional wrestler who is currently working for the Mexican Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) wrestling promotion, where he portrays a face. He made his in-ring debut in late 2017 under the name Tiburón ("Shark") but was revealed to be the son of luchador Atlantis in late 2018 when he changed his name to Atlantis Jr. and began wearing the same mask as his father. Triplemanía Regia II is an upcoming professional wrestling event that will be produced and scripted by the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. The event was originally scheduled to take place on October 10, 2020 but was postponed and later cancelled on November 30 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, on October 18, 2021, AAA announced that the event would be occurring on December 4 at the Estadio de Béisbol Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. It will mark the 29th year in a row that AAA has held a Triplemanía show, and the 36th overall show held under the Triplemanía banner since 1993. The annual Triplemanía show is AAA's biggest event of the year, serving as the culmination of major storylines in what has been described as AAA's version of WrestleMania or their Super Bowl event.
