Deftones is an American alternative metal band from Sacramento, California. It was formed in 1988 by Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham (drums) and Dominic Garcia (bass). During their first five years, the band's lineup changed several times, but stabilized in 1993 when Cunningham rejoined after his departure in 1990; by this time, Chi Cheng was bassist. The lineup remained stable for fifteen years, with the exception of keyboardist and turntablist Frank Delgado being added in 1999. The band is known as one of the most experimental groups to have come from the alternative metal scene, and are sometimes dubbed by critics as "the Radiohead of metal".
Around the Fur is the second studio album by American rock band Deftones, released on October 28, 1997 by Maverick Records. The songs "My Own Summer " and "Be Quiet and Drive " were released as singles with accompanying music videos.
Saliva is an American rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1996. Saliva released their self-titled debut album on August 26, 1997, through Rockingchair Records, a record label owned and operated by Mark Yoshida and Ruth Thompson-Bernabe. The release was recorded and produced by Bill Pappas at Rockingchair Studios.

His production style is typically heavy, with heavily saturated guitars, but his work is diverse and wide ranging as exemplified by bands like No Doubt to System of a Down, to indie bands like Thrice, Envy on the Coast, and 8mm.

Self is an American alternative pop/rock band from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The band is led by Matt Mahaffey. The band currently consists of Chris James, Mac Burrus, and Jason Rawlings (Drums). Past members include Matt's brother, Mike Mahaffey and Timm Nobles. Mahaffey cites Electric Light Orchestra, Prince, and Pixies as some of his biggest musical influences.
Samuel Joshua "Sam" Watters is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and record executive. Watters was a member of the multi-platinum selling 1990s R&B group Color Me Badd and co-authored many of their hits including “I Adore Mi Amor”, and “All 4 Love”. Watters has also written and produced songs for Grammy-winning and nominated artists such as American Idol winners Fantasia, Kelly Clarkson and Jordin Sparks, and other superstars such as Céline Dion, Whitney Houston, Leona Lewis, and Anastacia. Watters is a member of the production/songwriting team The Runaways including fellow hitmakers Rico Love, Wayne Wilkins, Ryan Tedder, and Louis Biancaniello.
American Made Music to Strip By is the first remix album released by American musician Rob Zombie. The album was released through Geffen Records on October 26, 1999. It is composed entirely of remixes of songs taken from Zombie's debut studio album, Hellbilly Deluxe (1998). Zombie worked with a number of musicians and producers to create updated versions of the songs, including Charlie Clouser, who had previously worked with Zombie on his debut solo effort. Ten of the original albums songs have been remixed, excluding three instrumental interludes. Two of the remixes featured on American Made Music to Strip By had previously been released on promotional discs for "Dragula" (1998) and "Living Dead Girl" (1999).
Saturday Night Wrist is the fifth studio album by American alternative metal band Deftones, released on October 31, 2006 by Maverick Records. Despite early contributions that were later scrapped, it marked the departure of mainstay Deftones producer Terry Date. It was also their last released album to feature original bassist Chi Cheng before his car accident in 2008, which led to his death five years later.
Break out the Battle Tapes is the debut album from Wired All Wrong, a duo made up of Matt Mahaffey of Self and Jeff Turzo of God Lives Underwater. The album is notable for its unique production, particularly for its creative methods of editing explicit words. According to Turzo, this was done largely because he doesn't want to expose his young son to the harsh language on a few of the band's songs. There has been some backlash against this decision, but the band currently has no plans of releasing an explicit version of the album. Turzo has said that the songs that are edited will be released freely on the internet at some point for the fans that want them.
Wired All Wrong is a nu metal band formed by musician/producers Matt Mahaffey of Self and Jeff Turzo previously of God Lives Underwater. The two have been longtime friends since a mix-up of their bands on MTV. Partly due to the unfortunate deaths of David Reilly from GLU and Mike Mahaffey from Self, Matt and Jeff were able to shift their attention away from their other bands. Their debut album, Break out the Battle Tapes, came out on September 12, 2006.
Life in the So-Called Space Age is the 1998 album released by God Lives Underwater and is their second full-length album. The title comes from the cover of the Depeche Mode album Black Celebration, where it appears in quotes on the back, while the front cover features a distorted view of a skyscraper. The song "From Your Mouth" appeared in the 2000 film Gossip.
Empty is God Lives Underwater's first full-length album, released in October 1995 via American Recordings. Several songs from this album have featured in movies: "Tortoise" was used in the movie National Lampoon's Senior Trip, "No More Love" was used in Johnny Mnemonic, and "Weight"—an outtake from Empty—was featured in Mortal Kombat: More Kombat.
Rockland Records is an American record label founded by R&B recording artist and record producer R. Kelly in 1998, having distribution from Interscope Records. The label was home to recording artists such as Kelly himself, Sparkle, Boo & Gotti among others. The label has released four albums certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The label is known for songs like Fiesta (Remix), Fortunate, Be Careful and What Would You Do?. Rockland Records main producers are R. Kelly and Trackmasters. The label is currently inactive but Kelly still owns the Rockland Records imprint.
God Lives Underwater was the first EP released by God Lives Underwater in 1995 but recorded in 1993. "No More Love" was also released on the band's second album Empty. The song "Drag Me Down" was featured in the movie The Doom Generation and the song "No More Love" was featured in the movie Johnny Mnemonic.
Andy Gerold is a professional multi-instrumentalist and is best known as a former bassist of Marilyn Manson. Currently playing guitar for "Rock of Ages" at The Crown Theater, located in The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Matt Hyde is an American producer, engineer, mixer and musician. From 1982 to 1985 he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. While still at Berklee (1984) he obtained an internship at Pyramid Recording Studio in Boston. After two semesters at Berklee, Hyde took a break from classes to tour for the Department of Defense overseas entertainment program, playing guitar and keyboards in several top 40 cover bands that played shows at U.S. military bases in foreign countries throughout Europe and the Pacific. When he returned to the U.S., he began working at recording studios, first in Boston and from 1989 in Los Angeles.
Carlton James Bost, also known by the stage name, Carlton Megalodon, is an American musician, composer, producer, singer, songwriter and programmer. At present, he is the guitar player for the industrial rock band, Orgy, the Industrial rock / hard rock band, The Dreaming and new wave band, Berlin as well as the bass player for Stabbing Westward. Previously, he was the guitar player for the Industrial rock band, Lunarclick, and played Ztar and guitar for the rock band, Deadsy. He has his own solo project, Shades of Scar, under which name he released The Hollow Season in 2010.
