The fourth season of MasterChef South Africa was announced on 17 August 2021 and began airing on 28 February 2022 on M-Net (DStv channel 101) after a seven-year hiatus. [1] [2]
The new judges introduced for this season are Zola Nene, Gregory Czarnecki and Justine Drake. [3] Filming was done through a new production company, Homebrew Films, at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa. [2] It wrapped up in November 2021. [4]
The finale aired on 31 March 2022, where Shawn Godfrey took the title of MasterChef South Africa 2022.

MasterChef South Africa is the South African version of the television cooking game show franchise MasterChef. It was originally filmed on the Nederburg Wine Estate in Paarl, Western Cape and judged by Pete Goffe-Wood, Benny Masekwameng, Reuben Riffel and Andrew Atkinson, up to the third season. The series' first run was from March 2012 – May 2015.

MasterChef Asia is a regional competitive cooking game show based on the original British show MasterChef. The show is produced by Lifetime Asia. A total of 15 home cooks from various regions across Asia competed in the first season of MasterChef Asia. The show is judged by Hong Kong-born, culinary chef Susur Lee; 3-Michelin starred chef Bruno Ménard; and Singapore-born Audra Morrice, a MasterChef Australia finalist. From the MasterChef kitchen to off-site and overseas challenges, the 15 episodes will culminate in one home-cook winning the title of the first ever MasterChef Asia.

The series follows amateur and home chefs competing against one another for the title of MasterChef.
