The University of Delhi, informally known as Delhi University (DU), is a collegiate public central university located in New Delhi, India. Hoshiarpur is a city and a municipal corporation in Hoshiarpur district in the Doaba region of the Indian state of Punjab. It was founded, according to tradition, during the early part of the fourteenth century. In 1809 it was occupied by the forces of Maharaja Karanvir Singh and was united into the greater state of Punjab in 1849.
Jagdish Tytler is an Indian politician and former Member of Parliament. He has held several government positions, the last being as Minister of State for Overseas Indian Affairs, a post from which he resigned after publication of a report by an official commission of inquiry, known as the Nanavati Commission. The commission had noted that he "very probably" had a hand in organising attacks on the Sikh community in Delhi after Sikh bodyguards assassinated the Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. He has not been charged with any crimes related to those riots.
Hindu College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi in New Delhi, India. Established in 1899, it is one of the oldest for arts and sciences in India. In 2020, it is ranked 3rd nationally by National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) under Ministry of Human Resource Development. It has been awarded 'Star College' status for its Department of Biotechnology by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The college has produced many notable alumni in the fields of Law, Economics, Science, Psychology, Business, Philosophy, Literature, Media, Cinema, Military, Sports and Politics. Notwithstanding its name, students from all religions are admitted to Hindu College.
Raghuvansh Prasad Singh was an Indian politician. In the Lok Sabha, represented the Vaishali constituency of Bihar and was the national vice president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal political party. He resigned from RJD party in September, 2020 and in his final days wrote an emotional letter to Lalu Prasad Yadav mentioning the humiliation meted out to him in his last days in the RJD and then few days later he died in AIIMS Delhi. He was one of the senior most politicians in India as a people's representative in the legislature for four decades from 1977.

She is a member of Shiromani Akali Dal Party. Her husband Sukhbir Singh Badal is former deputy chief minister of Punjab and the president of Shiromani Akali Dal. She resigned from the cabinet on 17 September 2020 to protest against few farmer related ordinances and legislation.

Government School Teachers Association, Delhi (GSTA) is a teachers' union recognized by the Delhi Government, India, which represents teachers serving under the Delhi Government. The current elected General Secretary of GSTA is Ajay Veer Yadav. Master Azad Singh, ex-Mayor, North Delhi MCD contested in these elections. Teacher groups actively contributing in the functioning of GSTA include Adhyapak Shakti Manch.

Padma Shri Piyong Temjen Jamir was a noted Hindi scholar and littérateur from Longsa village under Mokokchung district in Nagaland state of India. He was conferred the Padma Sri honour by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, in 2018 for the promotion of Hindi language and social work.
