Mathias Duplessy (born October 28, 1972) is a French composer and multi-instrumentalist. [1] [2]
Duplessy started playing the guitar at age 6 and began appearing on stage from the age of 18, [3] playing as a guitarist with artists from the French and international scene including Sophia Charai, Bevinda, Monica Passos, Nico Morelli, Dikès, Omar Pene, Ameth Male, Sarah Alexander, and Pop Nadeah. For ten years, he has also done Mongolian overtone singing and played the morin khuur, a Mongolian fiddle.
In early 2016, Duplessy released a new album, Crazy Horse, [3] co-composed by Enkhjargal Dandarvaanchig. He has three albums to his name and has participated in thirty soundtracks.
Duplessy collaborated with Sufi musician Mukhtiyar Ali to write the music for the 2014 English-language film Finding Fanny. [4]

As of 2017, conductor emeritus of the Verbier Music Festival Orchestra. He is an honorary member of the Ravel Foundation in France and the Stravinsky Foundation in Switzerland. In December 2017, following allegations of sexual assault, the Boston and San Francisco Symphonies cancelled his engagements. In a statement, Dutoit denied the charges.
Gojira is a French heavy metal band from Ondres. Founded as Godzilla in 1996, the band's lineup—brothers Joe and Mario Duplantier (drums), Christian Andreu, and Jean-Michel Labadie (bass)—has been the same since the band changed its name to Gojira in 2001. Gojira has been known for their progressive and technical death metal styles and their spiritual and environmentally-themed lyrics. He grew up in France and currently lives in France and Morocco. He is a former member of the hip hop group Sexion d'Assaut and released his first major album, Subliminal in 2013. The album sold over a million copies in France and peaked at number two in the Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique. The men in Ali's family have been Sufi musicians for many generations. Ali is a popular singer of the poetry of Kabir, and Mirabai, as well as Sufi poets such as Bulleh Shah. He was covered by the Kabir Project, as part of the movie 'Had Anhad' after which he gained lot of popularity. He made his international debut in July 2007. Mukhtiyar Ali has also since then sang songs for many movies. He was awarded the GiMA Award for Best Music Debut for the year 2015 for the song 'Fanny Re' in the movie Finding Fanny. He collaborated with Mathias Duplessy to write his music for the film.
