Mats Löfström (born 27 October 1983 in Eckerö) is a Finnish politician representing Åland Centre. Löfström is the single member of parliament for the autonomous region of Åland in the Parliament of Finland. [1] He was an Åland Centre party candidate to the Finnish Parliament on the Åland Coalition list at the 2015 Finnish parliamentary election. Löfström was elected,replacing Elisabeth Nauclér as the single representative of Åland in the Finnish Parliament. [2] Löfström was re-elected in 2019 and 2023. [3] [4] [5]

The Parliament of Finland is the unicameral and supreme legislature of Finland,founded on 9 May 1906. In accordance with the Constitution of Finland,sovereignty belongs to the people,and that power is vested in the Parliament. The Parliament consists of 200 members,199 of whom are elected every four years from 13 multi-member districts electing 7 to 36 members using the proportional D'Hondt method. In addition,there is one member from Åland.
There are four types of elections in Finland. Each Finnish citizen at least 18 years of age has the right to vote in each of the elections,which decide the following:the president,the parliament,the MEPs,and the municipal and city councils.
The Åland Centre is an agrarian-centrist political party on the Åland Islands. The party was founded by Karl-Anders Bergman in 1976.

She sat with the mainland's Swedish People's Party in the parliament. In 2015 elections she was replaced by Mats Löfström. Nauclér's father was from Värmland in Sweden,and her mother was Norwegian.

Currently,Henriksson is the country's longest-serving Minister of Justice.

After having maintained her seat in the 2015 election,Lohela was Speaker of the Parliament of Finland from 2015 to 2018. 36 years old when elected Speaker,she was one of the youngest MPs to hold that office in the parliament's history. Before her parliamentary career,she took her bachelor's degree at the University of Turku,majoring in English language. She has also served as a member of the Turku City Council from 2009 to 2012 and again from 2017 to 2019.
Hanna Katariina Mäntylä is a Finnish politician and the former Minister of Social Affairs and Health. She represented the Finns Party until June 2017 and was the second deputy chairwoman of the party. She was elected to the Parliament from Lapland in 2011. She maintained her seat in the 2015 parliamentary election. She was appointed Minister of Social Affairs and Health in May 2015.
Parliamentary elections were held in Finland on 14 April 2019. For the first time,no party received more than 20% of the vote. The Centre Party,which had been the largest party following the 2015 elections,dropped to fourth place,losing 18 seats and recording its lowest vote share since 1917. The Social Democratic Party saw the biggest gains,winning six more seats and narrowly becoming the largest party for the first time since 1999. The Green League and the Left Alliance also gained five and four seats respectively.

Turtiainen was expelled from the Finns Party due to him posting a tweet perceived as mocking the murder of George Floyd in February 2021.
