It is available as a digital release, CD release and 12" vinyl. The album features home demos that Cuomo has recorded from 1992–2007.

Beauty Killer features rock, electronic, dance, and pop elements in its music and lyrics, similar to previous works from Star. The album debut at number 122 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album spawned two official singles, "Prisoner" and "Lollipop Luxury", and several promotional singles, including "Love Rhymes with Fuck You", "Blush", and "Beauty Killer". Music videos were made for both "Get Away with Murder" and "Beauty Killer", and were made available for streaming and digital download in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Beauty Killer was recorded mainly in California, though some songs were recorded in Illinois and Georgia.
Matt Butcher is an English folk, Americana, country, independent recording artist from Orlando, Florida. Butcher, former lead singer of Orlando's The Heathens, recorded his first solo album during the summer of 2008. Entitled Me and My Friends, the album was released independently in the fall of 2008 and was voted one of the ten best of that year in the Orlando Sentinel.

Real Life Is No Cool is a 2010 album by Norwegian musician Hans-Peter Lindstrøm and Norwegian-Mauritian singer Christabelle. The Lindstrøm-produced album was released January 18, 2010 in the UK and in the United States the following day, on the Oslo-based Smalltown Supersound label. The special edition of the album was released with a bonus disc, containing six remixes. An exclusive edition containing a second disc which featured Lindstrøm's disco version of the Christmas classic "Little Drummer Boy", was available only from the London record store Rough Trade's website. This edition of the album was released November 30, 2009. The album's title is taken from a lyric in the track "Keep It Up".

Brandon Caskey is an American rapper, better known by the mononym Caskey. After almost ten years with Keep Pushin Entertainment & releasing mixtapes independently, including No Complaints (2012), Caskey signed to Birdman's Cash Money Records and Republic Records in August 2012.
