Matt Lambert is an American, Berlin-based filmmaker, creative director and photographer working across film, television, fashion, advertising, music and performance. He is known for LGBT-themed works.

Biography

Matt Lambert was born and raised in Los Angeles. [1] Most of Lambert photography and cinematic work explores youth and intimacy, especially in queer related social groups. [2]

Film

In 2020 he founded the experimental queer art/film project, VITIUM, and has curated screenings and events around the theme. [3] [4]

In 2014, Lambert's work was screened at the Tribeca Film Festival. [5]

A pioneer of Queer Cinema and gay activist from the very beginning, von Praunheim was a key co-founder of the modern lesbian and gay movement in West Germany and Switzerland. He was an early advocate of AIDS awareness and safer sex. His films center on queer-related themes and strong female characters, are characterized by excess and employ a campy style. They have featured such personalities as Keith Haring, Larry Kramer, Diamanda Galás, William S. Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg, Judith Malina, Jeff Stryker, Jayne County, Divine, Charlotte von Mahlsdorf and a row of Warhol superstars. In over 50 years, von Praunheim has made more than 150 films. His works influenced the development of LGBTQ+ movements worldwide.

The Tribeca Film Institute (TFI) is a non-profit arts organization based in New York City, founded in 2001 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff following the September 11 attacks as a means to revitalize the arts community in lower Manhattan. TFI launched its first program in 2002, the Tribeca Film Festival.

Wind River is a 2017 neo-Western crime film written and directed by Taylor Sheridan. It is the third film by Sheridan on the modern American West. The film stars Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen as a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service tracker and an FBI agent, respectively, who try to solve a murder on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. Gil Birmingham, Jon Bernthal, and Graham Greene also star.

<i>Hot Haus</i> 2022 Canadian TV series or program

Hot Haus is a reality television competition series aimed at finding the next queer sex symbol. The show premiered on January 27, 2022 on OUTtv. Hot Haus is the brainchild of the creative team behind Slag Wars. It is hosted by Tiffany “New York” Pollard and judged by rapper CupcakKe, social media personality Matt Camp, and trans activist Nicky Monet.
