Matthew Stonier (born 24 September 2001) is an English international athlete. [1] He has represented England at the Commonwealth Games. [1]

Biography

Stonier was educated at The King's School, Canterbury [2] and Loughborough University. [3] In 2022, he won the Emsley Carr Mile [2] before competing in the Diamond League. [4]

In 2022, he was selected for the men's 1500 metres event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. [1] [3] He qualified for the final at the championships and finished seventh in a time of 3:32.50. [5]

The London Diamond League, formerly known as the London Grand Prix and subsequently as the Anniversary Games, is an annual athletics event held in London, England. Previously one of the five IAAF Super Grand Prix events, it is now part of the Diamond League.
