Maurizio Ambrosini (born 7 October 1956) is an Italian sociologist, known for his studies on animal migration. [1]

Career

Ambrosini is a professor for sociology of migratory processes and urban sociology at the University of Milan and is the scientific director of the research centre on migration in the Mediterranean in Genoa, where he directs the magazine "Mondi Migranti". He is also a collaborator of lavoce.info. [2] He has exposed in several works the dangers of the so-called "subaltern integration", and the usefulness of "ethnic specializations". [3]
