Mauro Calamia (born 20 January 1992) is an amateur racing driver from Switzerland.
Born in Laupen ZH, Calamia began karting in 2004 and raced primarily in his native Switzerland for the majority of his career, working his way up from the junior ranks to progress through to the KF2 category by 2008. [1]
In 2009, Calamia graduated to single–seaters, racing in the Formula Lista Junior series in Europe for Daltec Racing. He finished tenth, scoring a podium finish at Monza. [2] He remained in the series for the 2010 season, moving to Torino Motorsport, but finished the season in eleventh place in the championship. [3]
Calamia switched to the newly created Formula Renault 2.0 Alps series in 2011, returning to Daltec Racing. He finished all but one races in a points-scoring position, finishing tenth in the Drivers' Championship. [4] He also contested the Most round of the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC series. [5]
In 2012, Calamia graduated into the FIA Formula Two Championship. [6]

Formula LO, previously known formally as LO Formel Lista Junior, was an open wheel racing series based in mainland Europe, which often ran as a support series to the Formula Renault 2.0 Switzerland. The first season was in 2000 and is based in Switzerland, and governed by the country's National Motorsport Authority. Because motorsports are essentially banned in Switzerland, the racing takes place on circuits in surrounding nations such as France, Italy and Germany. Many of the drivers go on to race in Formula Three and especially to the closely linked Formula BMW series. The series is often considered to be in competition with the German-based ADAC Formel Masters, which formed in 2008. It is named after its primary sponsor, Lista Office, owned by Swiss racing driver Fredy Lienhard.
