Maxwell Ruml (born 15 March 1997) is a Motorcycle speedway rider from the United States. [1] [2]

Speedway career

Ruml rode in the SGB Championship 2018 of British Speedway in 2018, riding for Edinburgh Monarchs. [3] [2]

Ruml became North American champion in 2020. [4] He then followed it up by winning the USA National Speedway Championship in 2021 [5] and 2023. [6]

He is the older brother of fellow Speedway rider Dillon Ruml.

After retiring from motorcycle competition, Ward turned to auto racing, finishing in second place at the Indianapolis 500 and winning a race at the Texas Motor Speedway. He then competed in off-road truck racing and rallycross. Ward was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1999 and, was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America on 12 August 2006.

The Daytona 200 is an annual motorcycle road racing competition held in early spring at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The 200-mile (320 km) race was founded in 1937 when it was sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA). The original course used the beach itself before moving to a paved closed circuit in 1961. The Daytona 200 reached its zenith of worldwide popularity in the 1970s when the race attracted the largest crowds of any AMA race along with some of the top rated international motorcycle racers.
