The rest of his career, which lasted from 1993 to 2012, was mainly spent in the Czech Extraliga. Internationally Trnka played the for the Czech national team at both the junior and senior level. After retiring from play, Trnka went into coaching, and has worked with HC Vítkovice at their senior and youth level since 2012.

Valeri Yevgenievich Karpov was an ice hockey player who played in the Soviet Hockey League and National Hockey League. He competed for Traktor Chelyabinsk and HC CSKA Moscow in Russia before moving to North America. He was drafted 56th overall by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft and joined the team the next season, but struggled to maintain a place in the Ducks roster, bouncing around the minor leagues. He played 76 regular season games for the Ducks over three seasons, scoring 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points, collecting 32 penalty minutes. He returned to Russia in 1997, spending three seasons with Metallurg Magnitogorsk, helping them win the RSL title in 1999. After spells with HC Lada Togliatti and HC Dynamo Moscow, he returned to Metallurg Magnitogorsk in 2001, where he stayed for another four years. He was inducted into the Russian and Soviet Hockey Hall of Fame in 1993 and retired in 2005.

Prior to turning professional Crowley spent three seasons with the University of Minnesota. Internationally Crowley played for the American national team at the World Junior and World Championships.

The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim were founded in 1993 by The Walt Disney Company. The team's original name was chosen from the Disney movie The Mighty Ducks, based on a group of misfit kids who turn their losing youth hockey team into a winning team. Disney subsequently made an animated series called Mighty Ducks, featuring a fictional Mighty Ducks of Anaheim team that consisted of anthropomorphized ducks led by the Mighty Duck Wildwing. The team was the first tenant of Arrowhead Pond, a brand-new arena in Anaheim located a short distance east of Disneyland and across the Orange Freeway from Angel Stadium. The arena was completed the same year the team was founded.
