Maxine Hough[ pronunciation? ] (born January 7, 1942) is an American educator and politician.
Born in East Troy, Wisconsin, Hough received her bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin–Madison and her bachelor's degree in education from University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. Hough was an elementary school teacher and administrator. She was also a Wisconsin Senate legislative assistant. She served on the Walworth County, Wisconsin Board of Supervisors from 1988 to 1991. Hough then served in the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1991 as a Democrat. [1] She served on the state governing board of Common Cause in Wisconsin, the state's largest non-partisan political reform advocacy organization from 1996 to 2013, including as Co-Chair from 2005 to 2013.

Maxine Fassberg is a South African-Israeli retired educator, engineer, and CEO. She immigrated from South Africa to Israel in 1975 and earned bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. After teaching high school chemistry for a few years, she switched careers and began working for Intel as a lithography engineer in 1983. She spent the next 33 years in key positions in that company, including factory manager, plant manager, and general manager (CEO) of Intel Israel. She retired in December 2016. She was inducted into the Women in Technology International Hall of Fame in 2009 and was named one of the "10 most powerful women in tech" by CNN in 2010.
Sarah Van Hoosen Jones (1892–1972) was the first woman in the United States to earn a Doctorate in Animal Genetics. She later managed a Michigan Centennial Farm in Avon Township, Michigan and served on the elected Board of Trustees of Michigan State University. Jones was inducted into the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame in 1994 for her accomplishments in the fields of agriculture and education.

Karen Ruth Hurd is an American nutritionist, writer, and Republican politician from Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. She is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 68th Assembly district since January 2023. She is also currently a member of the village board of Fall Creek, Wisconsin.
