Maya Simantov (born June 25, 1982) is an Israeli singer and songwriter who has worked in the house music scene for over a decade. She is mostly known for her collaborations with DJ and producer Offer Nissim, such as "Everybody Needs a Man", "Let Me Live", "Alone", "Be My Boyfriend", "First Time" and more, and has written songs for recording artists such as Dana International, Rita and Sarit Hadad.
She has collaborated with Peter Rauhofer, Tracy Young, DJ Skazi, Itay Kalderon (part of the duo "JetFire"), and Henree. Her most popular hit is "Take the World" was produced by Yinon Yahel. [1]

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, also abbreviated as KANK, is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama directed by Karan Johar, who also wrote it with Shibani Bathija, and produced by his mother Hiroo Yash Johar under the Dharma Productions banner. "Bucky Done Gun" is the third single from musician M.I.A.'s album Arular. The song was composed in London in 2004 as one of the last compositions for her debut album and credited to Maya "M.I.A." Arulpragasam, Carol Conners, Bill Conti, Wesley "Diplo" Pentz, Ayn Robbins and Deize Tigrona. It was released by XL Recordings in the UK, Interscope Records in the US and Remote Control Records in Australia on 11 July 2005 in 12-inch vinyl and CD single formats. The B-side of the release is the song "Pull Up the People" from Arular. Upon release, the song reached number 88 on the UK Singles Chart.
Ijaazat (transl. Permission) is a 1987 Indian Hindi-language musical romance film directed by Gulzar, based on a Bengali story, Jatugriha by Subodh Ghosh. Starring Rekha, Naseeruddin Shah, Anuradha Patel in lead roles, the film followed the story of couple who are separated and who accidentally meet in a railway station waiting room and discover some truths about their lives without each other. The film belongs to the art-house genre in India known as Parallel Cinema, and won two National Film Awards in the music category. The movie is based on the 1964 Bengali movie Jatugriha.
Offer Nissim is an Israeli DJ, remixer, and record producer. He produced the winning entry of the Eurovision Song Contest 1998, "Diva", by Dana International. Besides his work with Dana International, Nissim has often collaborated with Maya Simantov on songs such as "For your Love", "Everybody Needs a Man", "Alone", and "First Time", and has produced official remixes for various artists, including Madonna and Cher.

It was recorded at Studio U-Turn Tel-Aviv, between 2004 and 2005, with additional production Yinon Yahel; and it is composed of ten songs in English and one in Hebrew. Maya wrote the lyrics and composed the melody of the songs, except "Summer Night City", which was composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus.
