Md. Mashiur Rahman is a Bangladeshi academic and Vice-Chancellor of National University, Bangladesh. [1] In September 2022, the government broke the trustee board of Manarat International University and created a new board which included Rahman. [2]

Early life

Rahman was born in Nalchity Upazila, Jhalokathi District. did his undergraduate and graduate studies in sociology at the University of Dhaka. [3] He did his doctorate and post doctorate work at Lund University. [3] [4]

Career

Rahman started teaching at the Department of Sociology of the University of Chittagong. [3] He later joined the sociology department at the University of Dhaka. [5] He went on to become a professor at the department. [6]

On 10 May 2017, Rahman was appointed Pro-Vice Chancellor of the National University. [7]

Rahman was appointed the Vice-Chancellor of the National University on 30 May 2021 replacing Harun-or-Rashid. [5]

Imran Rahman is a Bangladeshi academician and the current vice-chancellor of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). He was a special adviser to ULAB's board of trustees. He began his career at the ULAB as the director of the School of Business in 2006 and later became the vice-chancellor during 2012–2016. He was the pro-vice-chancellor of the university during 2009–2012. Md. Akhtaruzzaman is a Bangladeshi academic who served as the 28th vice-chancellor of the University of Dhaka.
