In the Grand Rapids Press , Tim Pratt described Me as "a popcorn ball of chewy, sticky fun, combining subtly subversive lyrics with crunchy elements of rock, punk and electronic music and then mashed together in an oddball, yet tasty, musical treat." [6] The Chicago Tribune 's Rick Reger also reviewed the album favorably, writing that "Far from being a bizarre change of direction, "Me" ably upholds the Mekons' tradition of thwarting expectation and flouting convention." [7] A review of the album in the Orlando Weekly stated that "There is something for everyone here. The fleeting string sections, noisy guitars, cheesy Stereolab-style keyboards, accordions and fiddles keep "Me" unpredictable and will leave you wondering what's next for these evolving musical chameleons." Hypnotize the Moon is the third studio album by American country music singer Clay Walker. It was released October 17, 1995, on Giant Records. It was the third consecutive album of his career to earn RIAA platinum certification for U.S. shipments of one million copies, although it was also the first album of his career not to produce any Number One hits. Released from this album were, in order: "Who Needs You Baby", the title track, "Only on Days That End in 'Y'", and "Bury the Shovel". Respectively, these reached #2, #2, #5, and #18 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. "Love You Like You Love Me" was co-written by Steve Wariner, who later recorded it on his 1998 album Burnin' the Roadhouse Down.

Faith is the third studio album by American country music artist Faith Hill, released in 1998. Due to the success of the single "This Kiss" in Australia and the UK, the album was released under the title Love Will Always Win, featuring the title track, a new version of "Piece of My Heart" and two new versions of "Let Me Let Go", which replace "You Give Me Love", "My Wild Frontier", "Just to Hear You Say That You Love Me" and the original version of "Let Me Let Go". "I Love You" was originally recorded by Celine Dion for her album, Falling into You. The album was released on April 21, 1998, and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Country Album. It was certified six-times Platinum by the RIAA for shipments of over six million copies in the United States. Two songs off of the album, "This Kiss" and "Let Me Let Go", were both nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
