Megan Sullivan is an American lawyer and jurist. A Republican,she was elected to the Superior Court of Pennsylvania in November 2021. [1]
Sullivan County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census,the population was 5,840,making it the second-least populous county in Pennsylvania. Its county seat is Laporte. The county was created on March 15,1847,from part of Lycoming County and named for Major General John Sullivan.
The 1779 Sullivan Expedition was a United States military campaign during the American Revolutionary War,lasting from June to October 1779,against the four British allied nations of the Iroquois. The campaign was ordered by George Washington in response to the 1778 Iroquois and British attacks on Wyoming,German Flatts,and Cherry Valley. The campaign had the aim of "taking the war home to the enemy to break their morale". The Continental Army carried out a scorched-earth campaign in the territory of the Iroquois Confederacy in what is now western and central New York.
Jeremiah Sullivan Black was an American statesman and lawyer. He served as a justice on the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania (1851–1857) and as the Court's Chief Justice (1851–1854). Kate Howard is a fictional character from the ABC Daytime soap opera General Hospital. The character was originated by actress Megan Ward,who portrayed the role from May 2007 to October 2010. In September 2011,the role was re-introduced with actress Kelly Sullivan. Connie is known for having two distinct alternate personalities –Connie,who later changed her name to Kate Howard,who established her career and who the character was initially introduced as,and an alternate personality also named Connie,who was based on her life back in Bensonhurst. The Sonestown Covered Bridge is a covered bridge over Muncy Creek in Davidson Township,Sullivan County,Pennsylvania built around 1850. It is 110 ft (34 m) long and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1980. It is named for the nearby unincorporated village of Sonestown in Davidson Township,and is also known as the Davidson Covered Bridge. It was built to provide access to a grist mill which operated until the early 20th century.
The Forksville Covered Bridge is a Burr arch truss covered bridge over Loyalsock Creek in the borough of Forksville,Sullivan County,in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It was built in 1850 and is 152 feet 11 inches (46.61 m) in length. The bridge was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The Forksville bridge is named for the borough it is in,which in turn is named for its location at the confluence or "forks" of the Little Loyalsock and Loyalsock Creeks.
The Hillsgrove Covered Bridge is a Burr arch truss covered bridge over Loyalsock Creek in Hillsgrove Township,Sullivan County,in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It was built c. 1850 and is 186 feet (56.7 m) long. In 1973,it became the first covered bridge in the county to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The bridge is named for the township and nearby unincorporated village of Hillsgrove,and is also known as Rinkers Covered Bridge for an adjoining farm.
