The Akbash, is a traditional Turkish breed or type of flock guardian dog from western Anatolia. The word akbaş means 'white head', and thus distinguishes this dog from the Karabaş, or 'black head'. The Turkish Revenge Brigade, also referred as the Turkish Vengeance Brigade, is a militant Turkish nationalist organisation that has used violence against those they perceive as insulting Turkey. In the political violence of the 1970s, TİT gained notoriety during political clashes and is believed to be responsible for over 1,000 deaths during this period. After the military coup of 1980, most of its members were arrested. They were later released and assisted Turkish military intelligence in operations during the Kurdish-Turkish conflict.

Halil İnalcık was a Turkish historian. His highly influential research centered on social and economic approaches to the Ottoman Empire. His academic career started at Ankara University, where he completed his PhD and worked between 1940 and 1972. Between 1972 and 1986 he taught Ottoman history at the University of Chicago. Football at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games was a football competition that held between 8-16 August 2022 at Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium and Karatay Mehmet Otkut Football Field in Konya, Turkey. All players participating in the preliminary and final competitions of the tournament must be born on or after 1 January 1998 (U23). However, up to three male athletes who do not meet this age limit might also be included in the official list of athletes for the final competition. A maximum of 8 teams competed. Teams was divided into 2 groups and there were 4 teams in each group.

Mehmet Ali Eren is a former politician of the Social Democratic Populist Party (SHP) and after his dismissal from it of the People's Labor Party (HEP). For both he was a member of the Turkish Parliament He graduated from the faculty of law from the Istanbul University following which he became a lawyer.
