Mekai Curtis (born October 14, 2000) is an American actor. He is best known for playing the lead role of Kanan Stark in the drama series Power Book III: Raising Kanan .

Early life

Curtis was born in Neptune City, New Jersey.^{[ clarification needed ]} He lived there until he reached third grade. He lived in various parts of Ocean County, New Jersey before moving to Los Angeles at age 12. ^[1]

Career

Curtis made a one off appearance in the Disney sitcom Girl Meets World . ^[2] His first big role came playing Kirbys best friend Fish in the comedy series Kirby Buckets . ^[3] He starred alongside Weird Al Yankovic in the animated series Milo Murphy's Law . ^[4] His biggest role so far was playing the lead role of Kanan Stark in the drama series Power Book III: Raising Kanan . ^{[5] [6] [7]}

Personal life

In his spare time he likes to cook, play video games and drive cars. He is also a musician who can play the drums and the piano. ^[8]
