Melbourne City Wrestling is an Australian independent professional wrestling promotion founded in 2010, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. [3]
Melbourne City Wrestling currently has two major venues that they use. MCW hosts monthly events at the Essendon Ukrainian Hall which is fondly dubbed the "MCW Arena" by their loyal following of fans. MCW also hold their super card events, which are only held a few months of the year, within the grand ballroom at the Thornbury Theatre, dubbed "the birthplace of MCW" as the first ever MCW event was held here. In April 2018, Progress Wrestling co-promoted a show with Australian independent professional wrestling promotions Explosive Pro Wrestling, Melbourne City Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Australia. In June 2019, Melbourne City Wrestling held the cross-promotional event, Southern Rumble 2019, in partnership with Southern Pro Wrestling (SPW) in Invercargill, New Zealand [5]
During Progress x Melbourne City Wrestling show on 20 April 2018, Melbourne City Wrestling announced the launch [6] of their own training academy.

MCW wrestlers are freelance competitors, meaning they appear for multiple promotions either nationwide or worldwide as well as performing for Melbourne City Wrestling. The current roster are wrestlers who have appeared on the three most recent MCW shows, barring any who have announced they have left the promotion, while the list of alumni and notable guests is of wrestlers who have competed at MCW events in the past. In early 2014, Melbourne City Wrestling launched "MCW Encore: Video On Demand" on Vimeo, which includes MCW events held between 2010 and 2017, as well as some documentaries. The majority of the back catalogue of events are available for a monthly subscription fee, or events can be purchased individually. [80] [81]

The wXw World Tag Team Championship is a professional wrestling world tag team championship contested for in the German professional wrestling promotion, Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw). The inaugural champions was Swi$$ Money Holding. They claim to have bought the titles on June 1, 2001. The titles have been defended internationally in Japan, the United States, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom and on cards promoted by Combat Zone Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Noah, British Championship Wrestling, Big Japan Wrestling and others.
World Series Wrestling (WSW) is an Australian professional wrestling promotion. Originally founded in 2005, the promotion was in business for two years before going on hiatus, resuming operations in 2017. The company is founded, promoted and owned by Adrian Manera.
Explosive Pro Wrestling also known as EPW is an Australian independent professional wrestling promotion founded in 2001 in Perth, Western Australia.
Oliver Biney is an English professional wrestler best known for his time in WWE, performing under the ring name Rampage Brown. He is also known for his work throughout the European and British independent wrestling circuit. Biney also briefly worked for WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling in 2011 and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in September 2014. He is currently a trainer for New Generation Wrestling in their North East School.
James McAhren is a British former professional wrestler best known under the ring name Jimmy Havoc. He is known for his work with Progress Wrestling, Defiant Wrestling, Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW), Major League Wrestling (MLW) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Havoc is a former Progress World Champion.
Matthew Adams is an Australian professional wrestler. He is signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) under the ring name Buddy Matthews as a member of the stable House of Black and is a former one-time AEW World Trios Champion. Adams also makes appearances on the independent circuit and is best known for his time with WWE where he performed under the ring names Buddy Murphy and Murphy.
The ICW World Heavyweight Championship is a professional wrestling world heavyweight championship owned by Scotland's Insane Championship Wrestling promotion. The title was first established as the ICW National Heavyweight Championship at ICW's debut show on October 15, 2006, with Drew Galloway becoming the inaugural champion. On February 7, 2015, the title was officially renamed the ICW World Heavyweight Championship after Galloway successfully defended the title in a match against Matt Hardy for the Family Wrestling Entertainment promotion in New York. The championship has been defended in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Australia, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Canada. Jordan Devlin is an Irish professional wrestler. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand under the ring name JD McDonagh. He is a member of The Judgment Day stable. He previously performed in NXT UK, where he was a one-time and the longest-reigning NXT Cruiserweight Champion. His other accomplishments include being a two-time OTT World Champion and a one-time PROGRESS Tag Team Champion. Devlin is also known for his tenure in Japan with Pro Wrestling Zero1, wrestling under the name Frank David and becoming a one-time Zero1 International Lightweight Tag Team Champion.

Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), formerly known as Jersey Championship Wrestling (JCW), is an American independent professional wrestling promotion based in New Jersey. The promotion was originally founded by Ricky Otazu in 1999; it was rebranded under its current name in 2015, after a sale to Danny Demanto and current owner Brett Lauderdale. The promotion specializes in hardcore wrestling, as well as mixed martial arts–inspired shoot style matches.

The Progress World Women's Championship is a women's world professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the British professional wrestling promotion Progress Wrestling. It was announced on 24 April 2016, that Natural Progression Series IV would crown the first Progress Worlds Women's Champion. The tournament got underway in October 2016, with the champion to be crowned during the Super Strong Style 16 Tournament Edition 2017 weekend from 27 May 2017 to 29 May 2017. At the conclusion of the tournament at day two of the Super Strong Style 16 Tournament Edition 2016 weekend, Toni Storm was crowned the first Progress Women's Champion. As of April 9, 2024, there have been a total of nine reigns shared between seven different champions. The current title holder is Rhio who is in her first reign.
