Mepe is a town in the Volta Region of Ghana. The town is known for the St. Kizito Secondary Technical (French : Technique secondaire Saint Kizito). [1] [2] The school is a second cycle institution. [3] The people of Mepe celebrate the Afenorto Festival. [4] As at 2023, Togbe Kwasi Nego VI, was the Mankralo of the Mepe Traditional Area. As at 2023, Mamaga Adzo Sreku IV was the Paramount Queenmother of the Mepe Traditional Area. [5]
The Akosombo Dam, also known as the Volta Dam, is a hydroelectric dam on the Volta River in southeastern Ghana in the Akosombo gorge and part of the Volta River Authority. The construction of the dam flooded part of the Volta River Basin and led to the subsequent creation of Lake Volta. Lake Volta is the largest man-made lake in the world by surface area. It covers 8,502 square kilometres (3,283 sq mi), which is 3.6% of Ghana's land area. With a volume of 148 cubic kilometers, Lake Volta is the world's third largest man-made lake by volume; the largest being Lake Kariba which contains 185 cubic kilometers of water.
Lake Volta, the largest artificial reservoir in the world based on surface area, is contained behind the Akosombo Dam which generates a substantial amount of Ghana's electricity. It is completely within the country of Ghana and has a surface area of 8,502 square kilometres (3,283 sq mi). It extends from Akosombo in the south to the northern part of the country.
The Eastern Region is located in the Eastern part of Ghana and is one of the sixteen administrative regions of Ghana. Eastern region is bordered to the east by the Lake Volta, to the north by Bono East Region and Ashanti region, to the west by Ashanti region, to the south by Central region and Greater Accra Region. Akosombo is a small town in the south of the Asuogyaman District, Eastern Region, Ghana with notable street names of some African countries in the sub-region like Ghana, Congo, Namibia, Lagos-town, and Freetown. It is occupied by people of diverse ethnic backgrounds, like the Akans, Ewe, Krobo and other ethnic groups. Akosombo is north of the Adomi Bridge at Atimpoku, which is a 3 to 5 minute drive away.

Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988, which it was created from the former Kaoga District Council. Akumadan is the capital of Offinso North, a district in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. It has a population of about 20000. Akumadan township is well known for its agricultural activities. All sorts of food crops can be planted on its soil but tomatoes is the largest crop. 90 percent of natives above 18 years are tomato farmers. They produce more tomatoes than any other town in Ghana. It has a dam that helps to irrigate some farmlands within its reach during dry seasons. Cassava, pepper, onion, garden eggs, plantain, maize etc. are also abundant. A company called Fomghana has acquired a large area of land for planting trees near a river that irrigates it. Recently, the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo formally opened a Greenhouse project. Its poised to train young people in Agric Technology.

Jinijini is a town in the Bono Region of Ghana. 'Gyenegyene' is the Akan word for Jinijini which means pure, clear, still. It is the capital town for Berekum West district which was inaugurated on 15 March 2018. It is about 7 km, 39 km and 412 km away from Berekum, Sunyani and Accra respectively. Jinijini is also known for the Jinijini Senior High School (Jinss); a second cycle institution which started around mid 1990. The school celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2011.
Kajaji is a town in Bono East Region of Ghana. The town is also known as Nkomi Kajaji. It has a paramount chief and rotates among the three Royal clans in the paramountcy, namely Keleta, Kelempota, and Soome. Its construction began in 1974 and was completed in 1978 by Messrs Tahi, an Italian Company.
