An anthology series is a radio, television or book series that presents a different story and a different set of characters in each episode or season. These usually have a different cast each week, but several series in the past, such as Four Star Playhouse, employed a permanent troupe of character actors who would appear in a different drama each week. Some anthology series, such as Studio One, began on radio and then expanded to television.
The Quebec Aces, also known in French as Les As de Québec, were an amateur and later a professional men's ice hockey team from Quebec City, Quebec. The Aces were founded in 1928 by Anglo-Canadian Pulp and Paper Mills, the name Aces standing for Anglo-Canadian Employees with an s to form a plural. The French name was added later. The Aces played until 1971, from 1930 on playing home games at the Quebec Coliseum. Most notable of the Aces' players was the legendary Jean Béliveau, who played for the Quebec Aces in 1951-52 and 1952-53.
Football club de Nancy was a French association football team playing in the city of Nancy, Meurthe-et-Moselle. The team was founded in 1901 and dissolved in 1968.
Club Olympique de Roubaix Tourcoing was a French football team playing in the city of Roubaix, Nord. The team was founded in 1945 in a merge of three clubs: Excelsior AC Roubaix, RC Roubaix and US Tourcoing. The team won Division 1 in 1946/1947. The club fell into the lower levels of French soccer and was eventually dissolved on 15 June 1970.
The 1960 Stanley Cup Finals was contested by the four-time defending champion Montreal Canadiens, appearing in their tenth consecutive Final series and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The two teams had last met in the Finals the previous year. The Canadiens won the series four games to none for their fifth straight Cup victory, which stands as an NHL record.
Tom Hugo was a Canadian Football League offensive lineman and linebacker who played seven seasons for the Montreal Alouettes from 1953 to 1959. He was a Montreal All-Star 12 times during his seven seasons in the CFL. Besides being an All-Star at centre every season he played, he also intercepted 25 passes and returned two for touchdowns, and also returned kick offs. September 2018. Hugo was inducted into the Canadian Football League Hall of Fame as a player in 2018.

Russell A. Gausman was an American set decorator. He was won two Academy Awards and was nominated for five more in the category Best Art Direction. He worked on nearly 700 films between 1925 and 1960. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and died in Los Angeles, California.

The Babe Zaharias Open was a golf tournament on the LPGA Tour from 1953 to 1967. It was played in Beaumont, Texas at the Beaumont Country Club from 1953 to 1964 and at the Bayou Din Golf Club from 1965 to 1967. Babe Zaharias, LPGA co-founder and Beaumont resident, hosted the tournament until her death in 1956. She won the first edition of the event.
