Mette Karlsvik (born 28 November 1978) is a Norwegian author.
Karlsvik was raised in Frei, Nordmøre, and has an International Baccalaureate from the Red Cross Nordic United World College. She is educated as a fine artist from the Glasgow School of Art, and a journalist from the University of Bergen, and holds a certificate from The Bergen Academy of Writing. She was awarded the 2005 Tarjei Vesaas' debutantpris for her first novel, Vindauga i matsalen vender mot fjorden, [1] and the 2012 (and first ever) Stig Sæterbakkens Minnepris, the 2012 Bokhandlerstipendet and the 2012 Skardstipendet for her novel "Bli Björk". The novel was also nominated for the prestigious Brageprisen 2012. Karlsvik has held positions in the field of literature, i.e. within the artist grants system at arts_council_norway, The union of Norwegian authors, and Norwegian_Non-Fiction_Writers_and_Translators_Association.

Kjartan Fløgstad is a Norwegian author. Fløgstad was born in the industrial city of Sauda in Ryfylke, Rogaland. He studied literature and linguistics at the University of Bergen. Subsequently, he worked for a period as an industrial worker and as a sailor before he debuted as a poet with his collection of poems titled Valfart (Pilgrimage) in 1968. He received the Nordic Council's Literature Prize for his 1977 novel Dalen Portland. Other major works include Fyr og flamme, Kron og mynt, Grand Manila and Grense Jakobselv.

After succeeding in turning operations in various companies in the late 1990s, she has become best known as a health executive. She was the chair of the Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority during its entire existence from 2001 to 2006, later chief executive officer of Oslo University Hospital from 2009 to 2011.
Det Norske Teatret is a theatre in Oslo. The theatre was founded in 1912, after an initiative from Hulda Garborg and Edvard Drabløs. It opened in 1913, touring with two plays, Ervingen by Ivar Aasen and Rationelt Fjøsstell by Hulda Garborg. Its first official performance was Ludvig Holberg's comedy Jeppe på berget, with Haakon VII of Norway and the prime minister of Norway among the spectators. The Name is a 1995 play by the Norwegian writer Jon Fosse. It tells the story of a young couple, expecting a child, who move in with the woman's parents, with failures in communication as a consequence. The play premiered on 27 May 1995, directed by Kai Johnsen for Den Nationale Scene in Bergen, during the Bergen International Festival. A production by the German theatre company Schaubühne and the director Thomas Ostermeier was performed at the 2000 Salzburg Festival.
