Mia Mohammad Zainul Abedin was a Bangladesh Army General. He was the former Military Secretary to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh from 2011 to 2019. [1] [2] He was a recipient of Bir Bikrom gallantry award. [3]
Abedin was born on 1 January 1960 in Lohagara,Chittagong District,East Pakistan,Pakistan. He graduated from Faujdarhat Cadet College in Chittagong. [4]
Abedin was commissioned with the 2nd BMA long course in Bangladesh Army in 1980. [4]
Abedin was placed in charge of Special Security Force in 2009. [4]
On 28 November 2011,he was made the Military Secretary to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh,Sheikh Hasina. [4] [5]
Abedin died on 17 December 2019 in Mount Elizabeth Hospital,Singapore. [4]

Ziaur RahmanBU HJ HOR was a Bangladeshi military officer,freedom fighter and politician who served as the sixth President of Bangladesh from 1977 until his assassination in 1981. He was the founder of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). He previously served as the third chief of army staff from 1975 to 1978 with a minor break.
Begum Khaleda Zia is a Bangladeshi politician who served as the prime minister of Bangladesh from March 1991 to March 1996,and again from June 2001 to October 2006. The Bangladesh Army is the land warfare branch and the largest component of the Bangladesh Armed Forces. The primary mission of the Army is to defend the land of Bangladesh from any external attack. Control of personnel and operations is administered by the Army Headquarters,Dhaka Cantonment. Zainul Abedin,also known as Shilpacharya was a Bangladeshi painter. He became well known in 1944 through his series of paintings depicting some of the great famines in Bengal during its British colonial period. After the Partition of Indian subcontinent he moved to East Pakistan. In 1948,he helped to establish the Institute of Arts and Crafts at the University of Dhaka. The Indian Express has described him as a legendary Bangladeshi painter and activist. Like many of his contemporaries,his paintings on the Bengal famine of 1943 are viewed as his most characteristic works. His homeland honored him with the title "Shilpacharya" "Great teacher of the arts" for his artistic and visionary attributes. He was the pioneer of the modern art movement that took place in Bangladesh and was rightly considered by Syed Manzoorul Islam as the founding father of Bangladeshi modern arts,soon after Bangladesh earned the status of an independent republic.
Abdur Rahman Biswas was a Bangladeshi politician. He was the President of Bangladesh from 1991 to 1996. Biswas represented Pakistan at the United Nations General Assembly,prior to the independence of Bangladesh.
Armed Forces Day is observed in Bangladesh on 21 November. This signifies the day in 1971,when the members of the Bangladesh army,navy and air force were officially united and launched joint operations against the Pakistan occupation forces. On 16 December 1971,the Pakistani Army of 93,000 surrendered to the allied force of Bangladesh army,ending the Liberation War of Bangladesh.

Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu was a Bangladeshi politician of the Jatiya Party and served as the Secretary General for two terms. He was a Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Chittagong-9 constituency at the 10th Jatiya Sangsad and the Chittagong-6 constituency at the 4th Jatiya Sangsad. He served as the Cabinet Minister for Energy during Ershad's regime in the 1980s. He was appointed an advisor to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in November 2013.
Shafiqur Rahman was a three-star rank Bangladesh Army officer who served as the Chief of General Staff of the Army until his retirement. He is the former Director General of Special Security Force (SSF),the agency in charge of protecting the Prime Minister of Bangladesh,and also served as Director of Military Operations (DMO) at Army Headquarters.

Harun-or-Rashid was a Bangladeshi police officer. On 13 August 2024,he was named as one of the 7 accused in the illegal shooting and killing of various students across Dhaka during the Bangladesh Quota Reform Movement along with former prime minister Sheikh Hasina,former minister Obaidul Quader,former minister Asaduzaman Khan Kamal and police officer Biplob Kumar Sarker. According to various media reports,he has either absconded or been admitted at an unknown hospital in Dhaka after being lynched by a mob due to his orders of shooting at students. He is known for his controversial actions.
