Michael Bond is a South African politician and a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the Democratic Alliance (DA).
Bond was elected to the uMgungundlovu District Municipality council in 2000 as a member of the Democratic Alliance. In 2012,Bond stood for DA provincial leader against incumbent Sizwe Mchunu. [1] Bond withdrew and endorsed Ziba Jiyane,who lost to Mchunu. [2] In 2021,Bond was re-elected as a uMgungundlovu District Councillor and became the ward councillor for ward 25 in the Msunduzi Local Municipality as well. [3]
On 9 November 2022,Bond vacated his position on the uMgungundlovu District Council after 22 years and resigned as the ward councillor for ward 25 in Msunduzi as well. He had been appointed a Member of Parliament for the DA with effect from 10 November. [4] Bond was sworn in as a member of the National Assembly on 16 November 2022. [5]
Bond was appointed an Additional Member on Defence and Military Veterans on 21 April 2023. [6]

Mark Willemse is a South African politician serving as the Deputy Mayor of the Knysna Local Municipality since 2021. He is the former Executive Mayor of Knysna,and former Ward Councillor for Ward 9. Having taken office in June 2018 after voting with the ANC to unseat Mayor Eleanore Bouw-Spies,he lost the confidence of his caucus and was dismissed in October 2019. His application to court to overturn his dismissal was dismissed,with costs,in March 2020. Willemse was previously Speaker of the Eden District Municipality.
The 2021 South African municipal elections were held on 1 November 2021,to elect councils for all district,metropolitan and local municipalities in each of the country's nine provinces. It is the sixth municipal election held in South Africa since the end of apartheid in 1994,held every five years. The previous municipal elections were held in 2016. On 21 April 2021,President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the elections will be held on Wednesday,27 October 2021. It had been recommend by Dikgang Moseneke to delay the municipal elections until 2022. The Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) requested the Constitutional Court to support the date postponement. The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) supported the date postponement while the Democratic Alliance (DA) was against the postponement of the date. The Constitutional Court dismissed the application to postpone the date until 2022,ruling that they had to take place between 27 October and 1 November. On 9 September 2021,the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs,Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma announced that the elections would be held on 1 November.
Mponeng Winston Rabotapi is a South African politician of the Democratic Alliance (DA). He has been serving as the party's caucus leader in the North West Provincial Legislature since 2019. He previously served as a Member of the National Assembly from 2009 to 2019.
Mervyn Alexander Dirks is a South African politician who served as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. A member of the African National Congress,he became an MP in 2014 and was the ANC's chief whip in the Standing Committee of Public Accounts until his suspension in January 2022. She currently serves as Shadow Minister of Health after previously serving as Shadow Deputy Minister of Public Service and Administration and as Shadow Deputy Minister of Public Enterprises.
Patrick George Atkinson is a South African politician who has served as a Democratic Alliance Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature. Previously he served as a City of Johannesburg municipal councillor from 2019 to 2022 and as the Shadow Deputy Minister of Economic Development and as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa between 2014 and 2019.
Cheryl Phillips is a South African politician from the North West who has served in the National Assembly since May 2019. A member of the Democratic Alliance,she has been the Shadow Deputy Minister of Standing Committee on the Auditor General since December 2020. She was the Shadow Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy from June 2019 to December 2020 and the Shadow Deputy Minister of Environment,Forestry and Fisheries from December 2020 until April 2023. Phillips had previously served as a ward councillor in Rustenburg.

A member of the Democratic Alliance,he has been the party's deputy provincial leader since 2021. Pappas served as a member of the eThekwini city council from 2016 until 2019 and as a DA Member of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 2019 to 2021.
Maliyakhe Lymon Shelembe is a South African politician. Shelembe was an Inkatha Freedom Party member until 2011. He was elected to the National Assembly in 2014 as a member of the National Freedom Party. Shelembe became a Democratic Alliance MP after the 2019 elections.
