Michael C. Bonello is a Maltese economist,former governor of the Central Bank of Malta from 1999 to 2011. [1]
After obtaining a bachelor's degree in languages and economics from the University of Malta in 1965,Bonello pursued his studies as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford,where he took an honours degree in philosophy,politics and economics in 1969.
In 1969 he joined the Central Bank of Malta as a research assistant and later served as senior research officer from 1971 to 1978. Bonello was also president of the Malta branch of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. In 1978,he left the bank to join the private sector,where he held senior management positions and sat on the councils of the Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Industry until he joined the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva. Between 1983 and 1999 he served UNCTAD as senior economic affairs officer in the International Trade Division,chief of the Policy Clearance Unit,advisor in the office of the secretary-general and executive assistant to the deputy secretary-general.
He was initially appointed governor of the Central Bank of Malta on 1 October 1999 upon proposal of Prime Minister Eddie Fenech Adami. His appointment has been extended for five years by PM Lawrence Gonzi,with effect from 1 October 2008. He left the Central Bank in 2011.
Since 2013 Bonello is Chairman of Lombard Bank Malta plc. [2]
Bonello is also a member of the governing and general councils of the European Central Bank,a fellow of the Institute of Financial Services and a member of the board of governors of the Malta Financial Services Authority. [3]

Mahmoud Mohieldin, is an economist with more than 30 years of experience in international finance and development. He is the UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for Egypt. He is an Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund. He has been the United Nations Special Envoy on Financing the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda since February 2020. He was the Minister of Investment of Egypt from 2004-2010,and most recently,served as the World Bank Group Senior Vice President for the 2030 Development Agenda,United Nations Relations and Partnerships. His roles at the World Bank also included Managing Director,responsible for Human Development,Sustainable Development,Poverty Reduction and Economic Management,Finance and Private Sector Development,and the World Bank Institute;World Bank President's Special Envoy on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs),the Post-2015 Development Agenda,and Financing for Development;and Corporate Secretary and Executive Secretary to the Development Committee of the World Bank Group's Board of Governors. Dr Mohieldin also served on several Boards of Directors in the Central Bank of Egypt and the corporate sector. He was a member of the Commission on Growth and Development and was selected for the Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in 2005. His professional experience extends into the academic arena as a Professor of Economics and Finance at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science,Cairo University and as a Visiting Professor at several renowned Universities in Egypt,Korea,the UAE,the UK and the USA. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of Durham University Business School. He also holds leading positions in national,regional and international research centres and associations. He has authored numerous publications and articles in leading journals in the fields of economics,finance and development.
William Poole was the eleventh chief executive of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He took office on March 23,1998 and began serving his full term on March 1,2001. In 2007,he served as a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee,bringing his District's perspective to policy discussions in Washington. Poole stepped down from the Fed on March 31,2008.

He was the former President of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). He is Editor-in-Chief of VoxEU,which he founded in June 2007. He is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and was twice elected as a Member of the Council of the European Economic Association. Baldwin has been called "one of the most important thinkers in this era of global disruption".
Alex E.K. Ashiagbor was an economist and a former governor of the Bank of Ghana. He was governor from 15 July 1977 to 8 March 1983. Ashiagbor started his career at the Bank of Ghana after earning his degree in economics with a concentration in money and banking at the London School of Economics. He moved from the bank to become principal assistant secretary at the Ghana Ministry of Finance. In 1971 he was seconded from the ministry to the International Monetary Fund in Washington,D.C.,as a senior economist,returning to Ghana and the Ministry of Finance as senior principal secretary in 1973. Ashiagbor was appointed Governor of the Bank of Ghana in 1977. Following his time at the bank,he was appointed director of the Commodities Division of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva. He held that position until he retired in 1994 and returned to Ghana,where he led the World Bank's Financial Sector Adjustment Program until 2000. Ashiagbor continued to serve his country well into his retirement and in 2006,was awarded the Order of the Star of Ghana in recognition of his contributions to the nation. He died on May 19,2017,at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
