Michael Daingerfield is a Canadian actor, acting coach and founder of On The Mic Training, a voice acting school in Vancouver, British Columbia.
He is best known for his voice roles of Ace Ventura in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective , playing Gordon Godfrey on the CW's superhero drama Smallville , and his English dub of the anime as Gintoki Sakata in Gintama .
Daingerfield attended Murray State University in Kentucky on a tennis scholarship. He graduated with a degree in business and administration. [1] [2]
Michael Daingerfield's first voice acting job was playing Ace Ventura on the animated series of the same name. According to voice director Dan Hennessey, Daingerfield did a few of Jim Carrey's ADR lines in the second Ace Ventura film ( Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls ), when Carrey was unavailable to do them himself. In 2006, Daingerfield wrote, produced and starred in, "Daingerfield", a short feature loosely based on his life. [4]
In 2007, Daingerfield founded On the Mic Training, a Vancouver-based, voice acting school where he and many other Vancouver voice actors train students in voice-over. [5]
In 2017, he was cast as the lead role of Gintoki Sakata in the Ocean dub of Gintama .
In 2007, Daingerfield ranked third in Canada for Men's Singles over 35 tennis. [6]

Cam Clarke is an American voice actor, known for his work in animation, video games and commercials. Among his notable roles are Leonardo and Rocksteady in the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, Shotaro Kaneda in the 1989 original Streamline Pictures English dub of Akira, and Liquid Snake in the Metal Gear series. He often serves as a voice double for Matthew Broderick and served as Broderick's singing voice of Simba in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.
Bradley Swaile is a Canadian voice actor. His major roles include Light Yagami in Death Note, Rock in Black Lagoon, Kicker Jones in Transformers: Energon, and Nightcrawler in X-Men: Evolution. In the 1990s, he voiced Mousse in Ranma ½ and Teen Gohan in the Ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z. Rebecca Shoichet is a Canadian voice actress who has voiced in English dubs of Japanese anime and other shows for Ocean Productions in Vancouver, having moved there from Victoria in 2000. She took over Saffron Henderson's role of Sota Higurashi in Inuyasha after Henderson had moved to Los Angeles to do anime dubbing work in the United States. Other major roles include Mayura Labatt in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Nana Osaki in Nana. In animation, she voices Sunset Shimmer and sings for her and Twilight Sparkle in the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series. Outside of voice acting, she has sung in the local bands Mimosa, Side One and Soulstream. She is also active in the theater productions at Vancouver Playhouse.
Hideaki Sorachi is the pen name of a Japanese manga artist, most well known for his manga Gintama, which began serialization in 2003 and ended in 2019. He has also written numerous one-shots, including Dandelion, for which he won the Tenkaichi Honourable Mention Manga Award in 2002. Sorachi's distinctive sense of humour and writing style has been the subject of academic research papers. As of February 2018, the Gintama manga has sold 55 million units in Japan.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is an animated television series based on the film of the same name. The series was produced by Morgan Creek Productions, Funbag Animation Studios, Nelvana Limited, for the first two seasons and Odyssey Entertainment for the third and final season. David Patrick Seitz is an American voice actor, ADR director and script writer best known as Dio Brando from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. He has provided voices for English versions of Japanese anime and video games, including over 100 projects since his initial foray into the voice-over industry in 2000 with the Amazing Nurse Nanako OVA.
Kevin Miguel Connolly is an American voice actor, ADR director and script writer. Gintama is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hideaki Sorachi. It was serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from December 2003 to September 2018, later in Jump Giga from December 2018 to February 2019, and finished on the Gintama app, where it ran from May to June 2019. Its chapters were collected in 77 tankōbon volumes. Set in Edo, which has been conquered by aliens named Amanto, the plot follows samurai Gintoki Sakata, who works as a freelancer in his self-established store, "Yorozuya", alongside his friends Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura, offering a wide range of services to handle various tasks and odd jobs. Sorachi added the science fiction setting to develop characters to his liking after his editor suggested doing a historical series.
Gintoki Sakata is a fictional character in the manga and anime franchise Gintama created by Hideaki Sorachi. Gintoki is the protagonist of the series and his name serves as part of the basis of the series' title. He is introduced as a former rebel samurai who lives in a fictionalized version of 1860s Japan after being invaded and transformed by aliens. Gintoki once fought in the Joui (rebel) war until a tragic event where he was unable to protect what he was fighting for, leading to him instead establishing "Yorozuya Gin-chan" (万事屋銀ちゃん)", choosing to make a living as a freelancer for hire in Edo. Eventually, Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura choose to stay and work with him, forming a found family. Across the series, more details about Gintoki's past are revealed leading him to encounter former friends as enemies. As the main character, Gintoki has appeared in most of the episodes of the anime series, as well as in other media related to the franchise, including the film and all of the spin-off video games and original video animations.
