Michael Heinz Golding (born 23 May 2006) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Chelsea.
Born in Kingston, Golding started his career at the academy of AFC Wimbledon, [2] before joining Chelsea in 2018. [4] He signed his first professional contract in July 2023. [5] Golding started training with the first team squad in 2023–24 season. [4] On 6 January 2024, he made his first team debut against Preston North End at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup. [6]
Golding had represented England at under-16, [7] under-17 and under-18 level. [8] [9] He had captained England at the 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. [10] Golding is also eligible to represent Republic of Ireland through his family. [11]
On 2 November 2023, Golding was included in the England squad for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup. [12]
