Michael Heinz Golding (born 23 May 2006) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Leicester City.

Club career

Born in Kingston, Golding started his career at the academy of AFC Wimbledon, [2] before joining Chelsea in 2018. [4] He signed his first professional contract in July 2023. [5] Golding started training with the first team squad in 2023–24 season. [4] On 6 January 2024, he made his first team debut against Preston North End at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup. [6]

In 7 July 2024, Golding signed for Leicester City. [7]

International career

Golding had represented England at under-16, [8] under-17 and under-18 level. [9] [10] He had captained England at the 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. [11] Golding is also eligible to represent Republic of Ireland through his family. [12]

On 2 November 2023, Golding was included in the England squad for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup. [13]
