Barnoldswick is a market town and civil parish in the Borough of Pendle, in the administrative county of Lancashire, England. It is within the boundaries of the historic West Riding of Yorkshire. Barnoldswick and the surrounding areas of West Craven have been administered since 1974 as part of the modern administrative county of Lancashire. This was when West Riding County Council and Barnoldswick Urban District Council were abolished and the town was transferred to the Borough of Pendle.

He played just one match for Nelson, appearing at centre-half in the 2–4 defeat to Wrexham on 26 November 1921.

He started his career in non-League football with Accrington Stanley and Darwen, before moving into the professional game with Blackburn Rovers in March 1912. Jacques made two League appearances for Blackburn but left the club in 1915 to join the British Army. He served in the First World War, during which he was captured and taken as a prisoner of war.
James Edward Broadhead was an English professional footballer who played as a defender. Born in Rotherham, he started his career with Rotherham County in 1913, and then joined Norwich City in 1919. He later had spells with South Shields and Scunthorpe & Lindsey United before moving to Nelson, where he made 67 Football League appearances in two spells with the club. He played in non-League football towards the end of his career, before retiring to become a coach in the early 1930s.

He was on the books of three Football League clubs, but only played in the first-team for Nelson, where he made five league appearances. After leaving Bury in 1932, he spent some time in non-league football, before retiring to work in a factory.
Walter Russell Chadwick was an English professional footballer who played as a defender. Born in Accrington, Lancashire in 1903, Chadwick started his career in local football with St Saviour's of Bacup before joining Football League First Division side Burnley as an amateur in 1923. He failed to make a first-team appearance and left the following summer, signing with Barnoldswick Town in June 1924. Two months later, Chadwick returned to Burnley on professional terms but again could not break into the senior team and played solely in the reserves.

Born in Darlington, he started his career in the north-east of England with Shildon before moving to London to join Football League Third Division South club Charlton Athletic in July 1925. Hooper made nine league and cup appearances for the Addicks as they finished second from bottom in the division and were forced to apply for re-election for the only time in their history. In November 1926, he signed for Scottish Football League Second Division outfit St Johnstone, where he spent two seasons.

He started his senior career with Preston North End and scored 10 goals in 22 league matches during the 1912–13 season as the team won the Football League Second Division. After making four further appearances for Preston at the start of the following campaign, Halliwell transferred to Barnsley in December 1913. He remained at Oakwell for 14 years and played 312 league games for the club, scoring 83 goals.
