Michael Holt (born 28 July 1977) is a footballer who last played for West Lancashire Football League side Barnoldswick Town. He played as a striker.

He previously played in The Football League for Blackburn Rovers, Preston North End, Macclesfield Town and Rochdale and in non-league football with Northwich Victoria and Nelson. He also had a five-year spell in Ireland with League of Ireland sides St Patrick's Athletic and Derry City.

In the 2005–06 season, he scored 36 goals in all competitions for Nelson, helping them to win promotion to the North West Counties Football League Division One. However, in August 2006, he decided to leave the Blues to join his hometown club, Barnoldswick Town. He is reported to have joined Barnoldswick whilst the then Nelson manager, Graham Haworth, was on holiday.

John William Walmsley was an English professional association footballer who played predominantly as a wing half. Born in Accrington, Lancashire, he initially played Sunday league football for St Paul's and Accrington St Peter's. Walmsley started his senior playing career in Non-League football with Bacup Borough before joining Football League Third Division North side Nelson in 1921. He played just one match for Nelson, appearing at centre-half in the 2–4 defeat to Wrexham on 26 November 1921.

Thomas Edgar Jacques was an English professional footballer who played as a half-back. He started his career in non-League football with Accrington Stanley and Darwen, before moving into the professional game with Blackburn Rovers in March 1912. Born in Darlington, he started his career in the north-east of England with Shildon before moving to London to join Football League Third Division South club Charlton Athletic in July 1925. Hooper made nine league and cup appearances for the Addicks as they finished second from bottom in the division and were forced to apply for re-election for the only time in their history. In November 1926, he signed for Scottish Football League Second Division outfit St Johnstone, where he spent two seasons.
