Michael J. Keplinger (born November 10, 1999) is an Austrian musician and filmmaker.
Michael J. Keplinger was born on November 10, 1999, in Linz, Upper Austria. [1] Inspired by the music of the Beatles from an early age, [2] Keplinger began learning to play the guitar at the age of eight, followed by other string and keyboard instruments. [3] At the age of 10, Keplinger began to produce his first full music albums in the basement of the family home. He is also enthusiastic about films and filmmaking early on. [2]
His 2019 experimental music video False Neon God, debuts at the Crossing Europe Film Festival 2020, [4] [5] one of the largest film festivals in Austria. [6] Also in 2020, Keplinger independently releases the single Pick Up Your Cross (and follow me) with an accompanying hand-animated music video. [7] [3] This work is awarded The “Levi” Award for The Best Music Video at the Ca’ Foscari Short Film Festival the following year, [8] where it receives high praise by the four-member jury, [9] and is awarded several times by VÖFA – Austrian member of the Union Internationale du Cinéma. His first narrative short film Allerseelen premieres at the Crossing Europe Film Festival in 2022 [12] and subsequently wins Best Super Short Experimental at the Flatness Film Awards 2022, [13] Best Horror/Thriller Film at the Austrian Filmfestival 2022 as well as several awards from VÖFA in 2023. [14] For Allerseelen, Keplinger serves as director, composer and screenwriter in addition to his involvement in editing and sound design. [15]
For his second narrative short film Iris, Keplinger again serves as director, composer, screenwriter and sound designer, among other roles. The film once more premieres at the Crossing Europe Film Festival 2024 [16] and again earns Keplinger several awards from the VÖFA as well as the prestigious Creative Video Award by the Zawinul Foundation For Achievement. In 2024, Keplinger signs with Upper Austrian record label Diegital Records. His debut single Passing Through, mastered by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road Studios in London, is released on May 31, 2024. [19] The single is distributed by Sony Music Entertainment. [20] [21] In June, a music video for Passing Through, shot on 16mm film and directed by Keplinger, is released. [22]
Outside of his work in film and music, Keplinger runs the company MJK Media e.U. and teaches as a lecturer at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences. [23]

The Riesending cave is a pit cave in the Untersberg near Berchtesgaden, Germany and Salzburg, Austria. At 1,148 m it is the deepest and at 19,300 m the longest cave in Germany. It was discovered in 1996. In June 2014 it became well known because of a large effort to rescue a lead speleologist.
Allerseelen is the musical project of the Austrian musician Gerhard Petak, also known as Kadmon and Gerhard Hallstatt. Briefly a group in 1987, it has been a solo project since 1989; Petak collaborates with groups for performances. His music is experimental, sometimes post-industrial and military pop and has often fallen into the neo-folk and pagan rock categories.
The Lurgrotte karst cave is the largest cave in the Eastern Alps of Styria, Austria. It is located about 16 km (9.9 mi) north of Graz and crosses the Tannenben karst region. The cave has two accessible entrances, one at the village of Semriach and the other at the village of Peggau. At the Semriach entrance, the Lur River sinks into the cave. At the Peggau entrance, the Schmelz River emerges from within the cave, flowing to the west and eventually joining the Mur River.

Albin Alois Ouschan is an Austrian professional pool player. Ouschan was the 2016 WPA World Nine-ball Championship winner, as well as the runner-up in 2014. He also won the 14.1 Continuous European championship the same year. Ouschan is a multiple time Austrian champion in 8-ball, ten-ball and straight pool. Ouschan alongside partner Mario He won both the 2017 World Cup of Pool, 2019 World Cup of Pool and reached the final of the 2018 World Cup of Pool. They would lose 10–3 to the Chinese team of Wu Jia-qing & Liu Haitao. He won the WPA World Nine-ball Championship for the second time in 2021, beating Omar Al-Shaheen 13–9 in the final. He won the International Open in 2021, defeating Dennis Orcollo 13–6 in the final.
Katharina Mückstein is an Austrian film director, screenwriter and producer. Mückstein wrote and directed the feature films Talea (2013) and L'Animale (2018). She also wrote and produced the documentaries Three Farmers and a Son (2016), for which she won the Austrian Film Award for Best Documentary, and Animals and Other People (2017), and wrote and directed the documentary Feminism WTF (2023)–the third most-watched Austrian film of 2023–for which won the Vienna Women's Prize for Best Director in 2023.
The Austrian Mixed Curling Championship is the national championship of mixed curling in Austria. Team are composed of two men and two women, playing in alternating positions up the team, meaning the lead and third must be of the same gender, and likewise the second and fourth players. The championship has been held annually since 2005. It is organized by the Austrian Curling Association.
