Michael Legge (born 11 December 1978) is a retired Irish actor from Newry, Northern Ireland.
Legge attended St Colman's College, Newry, where he was a contemporary of fellow Irish professional actor Kevin Trainor; both performed, aged 11, on the main Olivier stage of the National Theatre, London in 1990 as part of the National Theatre Challenge. He now resides in Copenhagen and has become a Life Coach.[ citation needed ]
He has appeared in a number of stage, film, television and radio roles. He is best known for playing the teenage Frank McCourt in Alan Parker's 1999 film, Angela's Ashes . He also played another Limerick character in the film Cowboys & Angels . [1] In 2017, Legge has retired from acting and has not worked since.

Alan Sidney Patrick Rickman was an English actor and director. Known for his distinctive deep, languid voice, he trained at RADA in London and became a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), performing in modern and classical theatre productions. He played the Vicomte de Valmont in the RSC stage production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses in 1985, and after the production transferred to the West End in 1986 and Broadway in 1987, he was nominated for a Tony Award.

Angela's Ashes is a 1999 drama film based on the memoir of the same name by Frank McCourt. An international co-production between the United States, the United Kingdom and Ireland, it was co-written and directed by Alan Parker, and stars Emily Watson, Robert Carlyle, Joe Breen, Ciaran Owens, and Michael Legge, the latter three playing the Young, Middle, and Older Frank McCourt, respectively.
