Lea Rosh is a German television journalist, publicist, entrepreneur and political activist. Rosh was the first female journalist to manage a public broadcasting service in Germany and in the 1970s the first anchorwoman of Kennzeichen D, a major political television program. She has been a member of the SPD since 1968.
Frank Wörndl is a retired German Alpine skier. A four-time national slalom champion, Wörndl never won a World Cup race, and had mediocre results at the 1980 Olympics, finishing 10th in the slalom and 17th in the giant slalom. Yet he became one of the most successful German alpine skiers in history after winning the world slalom title in 1987 and an Olympic silver medal in 1988. He retired the same year and worked as a TV commentator for ZDF and Eurosport. In 2007 he opened a fitness studio in Sonthofen, and since 2011 he also performs as a singer.

Das aktuelle Sportstudio is a weekly sports TV show on German channel ZDF, broadcast late on Saturday evenings. The program is repeated later on 3sat. It was first broadcast on 24 August 1963. From 1999 to 2005, the program was called ZDF Sportstudio.

As head of the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government, he served as spokesman of government under three chancellors. He was ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1970 to 1977. He was then Director General of the ZDF, a German public-service television broadcaster, retiring in 1982.

Jana Thiel was a German sports presenter and journalist for ZDF. She worked at the radio station Antenne Brandenburg before moving on to the sports department of Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg. Thiel joined Deutsche Welle's television station DW-TV in 1999 and worked there until 2002. She began working at ZDF in 2000 as a sports reporter for the television programme ZDF-Morgenmagazin and then the broadcaster's primary sports department as an editor and presenter of the main evening sports bulletin on heute four years later. Thiel covered the Winter Olympic Games, the Summer Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games, Alpine skiing, the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany and the FEI World Equestrian Games.
The Mainzer Stadtschreiber is an annual German literature award. It is awarded by ZDF, 3sat and the city of Mainz and was founded in 1984. The award is endowed with €12,500. Additionally the laureate receives the right to live in the town clerk's domicile in the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz for one year. Together with ZDF, the recipient is able to produce a documentary based on a free choice of topic.
