Michael Perry (born November 10, 1958) is an American college basketball coach who is in his second stint as an assistant men's basketball coach at East Carolina University. [1] Prior to joining the Pirates program, he served as the head men's basketball coach at Georgia State University from 2003 through 2007, and also held assistant coaching positions at Georgia State, Richmond and Virginia Union University. Perry also served as interim head coach of East Carolina for most of the 2017–18 season, as head coach Jeff Lebo underwent hip surgery and stepped down from the position on November 29, 2017. [2] [3]
Perry played for the University of Richmond from 1978 through 1981 and finished his career as the Spiders' career leader in points scored (2,145). Only Johnny Newman has since surpassed that total in a Spiders uniform. Perry was selected in the ninth round of the 1981 NBA draft by the Kansas City Kings.

Michael Terrence Holland was an American college athletics administrator and basketball player and coach. Holland served as the head men's basketball coach at Davidson College from 1969 to 1974 and at the University of Virginia from 1974 to 1990, compiling a career college basketball coaching record of 418–216. Following his retirement from coaching, Holland was the athletic director at Davidson from 1990 to 1994, at Virginia from 1994 to 2001, and at East Carolina from 2004 to 2013.
Felton Jeffrey Capel III is an American college basketball coach and former player who is currently the head men's basketball coach at the University of Pittsburgh. He played for Duke University and was a head coach at Virginia Commonwealth University and University of Oklahoma.
Frank Mills Dobson was an American football, basketball, and baseball coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Georgia, Clemson University (1910–1912), the University of Richmond, the University of South Carolina (1918), the University of Maryland (1936–1939), and The Apprentice School (1940–1948), compiling a career record of 137–142–24. Dobson was also the head basketball coach at Clemson (1911–1913) and Richmond and the head baseball coach at Clemson (1911–1913) and Richmond (1915–1933).
Jeffrey Brian Lebo is an American basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for his alma mater, North Carolina. He was previously the head men's basketball coach at East Carolina (2010–2017), Auburn University (2004–2010), the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (2002–2004), and Tennessee Tech (1998–2002).
Christopher Scott Mooney is an American college basketball coach and the current head men's basketball coach at the University of Richmond. Prior to taking the helm of the Spiders basketball program, he was the head coach at Air Force. In his only year there, he led the Falcons to their second best record in school history (18–12). He played college basketball at Princeton. As a four-year starter at Princeton, he ranks 22nd on the school's all-time leading scoring list with 1,071 points, and 11th in three-point field goals made (142).
Louis Goetz was the head men's basketball coach at the University of Richmond from 1978 through 1981. Prior to leading the Richmond Spiders basketball program, he was the assistant coach at Duke University and the University of Utah under Bill Foster. Goetz played for Rutgers University from 1966 through 1969. He led the Spiders to a 38–44 record over three seasons.
The Richmond Spiders men's basketball team represents the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia and currently competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The team plays its home games at the Robins Center. The team last played in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2022 under head coach Chris Mooney, who has guided the program since the 2005–2006 season.
Joseph Gerard Dooley III is the former head men's basketball coach of the East Carolina University Pirates, having previously served as head coach from 1995 to 1999 and 2018-2022. Dooley was an assistant on the Kansas Jayhawks 2007–08 NCAA national championship team. and previously served as head coach at Florida Gulf Coast University.

They finished the season 15–18, 6–12 in AAC play to finish in ninth place. They defeated Temple in the first round of the AAC tournament to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to SMU.

Kim McNeill is an American basketball coach from Bassett, Virginia. She is the current head coach for the East Carolina Pirates women's basketball team. Prior to becoming the head coach at East Carolina in 2019, she spent three seasons as the head women's basketball coach for the University of Hartford. Before taking over at Hartford she served as assistant and associate head coach at Virginia.

Jim Lewis is a former collegiate and WNBA basketball coach. After completing assistant coaching positions during the 1970s, Lewis was the head coach of the South Lakes High School boys' basketball team in the early 1980s. In collegiate basketball, Lewis obtained 201 wins and 107 losses as the George Mason Patriots women's basketball head coach from 1984 to 1997. He then went to the WNBA as the first head coach of the Washington Mystics for the 1998 season. Between the 2000s and 2010s, Lewis held assistant coaching positions with the Minnesota Lynx, Indiana Fever and Los Angeles Sparks. During this time period, Lewis was the head coach for the Fordham Rams women's basketball team, T.C. Williams High School girls basketball team, and Georgetown Hoyas women's basketball team.
