His long and successful career as an action star earned him the nickname "Da King". Mansueto "Onyok" Velasco Jr. is a Filipino retired boxer, comedian and actor from Bago, Negros Occidental. Months prior to her death in 2022, Roces was honored by The Philippine Post Office with a commemorative stamp.

FPJ's Ang Probinsyano is a Philippine television drama action series broadcast by ABS-CBN and Kapamilya Channel. The series is based on the 1996 film of the same name. Directed by Malu L. It aired on the network's Primetime Bida line up and worldwide on TFC from September 28, 2015 to August 12, 2022, replacing Nathaniel and was replaced by Mars Ravelo's Darna. Lester Ferrer Salansang, known professionally as Lester Llansang, is a Filipino actor who appeared in the film Saranggola when he was 14 years old. He plays the role of a schoolboy who witnessed a crime committed by his policeman father. He was awarded Best Child Actor in FAMAS for this role. He also appeared in the movie Ang Galing-galing Mo, Babes.
