Michele D. Presnell (born March 5,1952) is a former Republican member of the North Carolina General Assembly from Yancey County. [1] She represented the 118th district in the North Carolina House from 2013 until 2021.
In 2018,Presnell was listed as a Champion of the Family in the NC Values Coalition Scorecard. [2]

Glenn Emery "Press" Presnell was an American football player,coach,and college athletics administrator. He set the NFL single-season scoring record in 1933 and led the league in total offense. He was the last surviving member of the Detroit Lions inaugural 1934 team and helped lead the team to its first NFL championship in 1935. He also set an NFL record with a 54-yard field goal in 1934,a record which was not broken for 19 years. Presnell served as the head football coach at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1942 and at Eastern Kentucky State College—now known as Eastern Kentucky University–from 1954 to 1963,compiling a career college football coaching record of 45–56–3. He was also the athletic director at Eastern Kentucky from 1963 to 1971.

Presnell Alfonzo "Pres" Mull[n1] was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Appalachian State Teachers College—now known as Appalachian State University—for one season in 1951 and at Catawba College from 1959 to 1961,compiling a career college football record of 13–26–1.

A special election was held on September 10,2019,to fill the vacancy in North Carolina's 9th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives for the remainder of the 116th United States Congress. The seat had been vacant since the opening of the 116th Congress,following the refusal of the North Carolina State Board of Elections to certify the results of the November 2018 election in the district due to allegations of electoral fraud. Because of the allegations,the race received substantial national attention.
