Paolo Rossi was an Italian professional footballer who played as a forward. He led Italy to the 1982 FIFA World Cup title, scoring six goals to win the Golden Boot as top goalscorer, and the Golden Ball for the player of the tournament. Rossi is one of only three players, and the only European, to have won all three awards at a World Cup, along with Garrincha in 1962 and Mario Kempes in 1978. Rossi was also awarded the 1982 Ballon d'Or as the European Footballer of the Year for his performances. Along with Roberto Baggio and Christian Vieri, he is Italy's top scorer in World Cup history, with nine goals overall.

Giuseppe Furino is an Italian retired footballer who played as a midfielder. A small yet tenacious and physical player, Furino was nicknamed Furia, and was known for his work-rate and energy in midfield, as well as his ability to break down possession as a defensive midfielder, although he was also gifted with good technical skills. He began his club career with Savona in 1966, and later spent a season with Palermo in 1968. In 1969, he moved to Juventus, where he remained for 13 seasons, also serving as the club's captain, and achieved great success, winning several domestic and international titles, including an Italian record of eight Serie A championships. At international level, he represented Italy at the 1970 FIFA World Cup, where he won a runners-up medal.
Rodrigo Ferrante Taddei is a retired Brazilian footballer. Though primarily a midfielder, Taddei was notable for his versatility on the field. During his career he has played in every position except central defender. Once Taddei even played as a goalkeeper for Palmeiras, when the team's usual starting goalkeeper was sent off.
Agostino Di Bartolomei was an Italian football player, who played as a midfielder or as a defender, in a sweeper role. Famed for his elegance on the ball and playmaking skills, he is regarded as one of A.S. Roberto Pruzzo is an Italian former football player and coach who played as a forward. He represented Italy at UEFA Euro 1980. A prolific goalscorer, Pruzzo was considered one of the best Italian forwards of his generation, and he is regarded as one of Roma's greatest players. He was known as a physically strong and hard-working centre-forward throughout his career, with good technique, link-up play, hold-up play, and an eye for goal, but was renowned in particular for his heading accuracy, elevation, and ability in the air.
