Michiel Adriaan Petrus De Bruyn is a South African politician. A member of the Freedom Front Plus, he has represented the Free State in the National Council of Provinces since 2021. He took up Armand Cloete's seat, who was sworn in as a member of the Free State Provincial Legislature. [1] Prior to his appointment to the NCOP, De Bruyn was a Freedom Front Plus councillor in the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality. [2]

Petrus Johannes "Pieter" Groenewald is a South African politician. He has been serving as the Leader of the Freedom Front Plus since his election in November 2016. He started his political career by being elected Mayor of Stilfontein in 1988. He relinquished the position in 1989 due to his election to the House of Assembly. Groenewald co-founded the Freedom Front in 1994, and served as a Member of the National Assembly until his election to the North West Provincial Legislature in 1999. He returned to the National Assembly in 2001.

General elections will be held in South Africa in 2024 to elect a new National Assembly as well as the provincial legislature in each province. These will be the seventh general election held under the conditions of universal adult suffrage since the end of the apartheid era in 1994. The new National Council of Provinces will be elected at the first sitting of each provincial legislature. Ever since the first post-apartheid election in 1994, the African National Congress has held a majority of seats in the National Assembly.

Armand Benjamin Cloete is a South African politician who has been a member of the Free State Provincial Legislature since 2021. He had previously served as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces from the Free State from 2019 to 2021. Cloete is a member of the Freedom Front Plus.

Stephanus Franszouis du Toit, known as Fanie du Toit, is a South African politician who has been serving as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces since May 2019. Du Toit is a member of the North West provincial delegation and a party member of the Freedom Front Plus.

Makalo Petrus Mohale is a South African lawyer and African National Congress politician serving as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education. He had previously been the MEC for Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (DESTEA) from May 2019 until March 2023. Mohale is the provincial chairperson of the African National Congress Youth League.

Makosini Mishack Chabangu is a South African politician from the Free State. He is a member of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). Chabangu was a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa from 2019 until his resignation in February 2023.

Jacobus Petrus Burger is a South African politician who has been the lone Freedom Front Plus member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature since February 2023.

Abrie Oosthuizen is a South African former politician who served as the provincial leader of the Freedom Front Plus in the Free State and as a member of the Free State Provincial Legislature until his retirement. Oosthuizen was elected to the Provincial Legislature in 1994 and was re-elected in 1999, 2004 and 2009 before announcing his retirement from politics in October 2013. Wouter Wessels succeeded him in the legislature while Jan van Niekerk succeeded him as provincial leader.
