The Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC) is a Men's ACHA Division 3 conference made up of smaller colleges and universities in the state of Michigan.
The MCHC has produced fifteen National Championship teams, the most of any Division 3 conference, including Ferris State (1994), Muskegon Community College (2003), Calvin College (2004), Saginaw Valley State (2009, 2010), Adrian College-Gold (2012, 2013, 2014), Michigan State (2015), Oakland (2016), Hope College (2018, 2021, 2022), Michigan (2023) and Lawrence Tech (2024). SVSU became the first school in Division 3 history to not only win two National Championships, but to do it in back-to-back years. Adrian College-Gold later became the first school in Division 3 history to not only make three straight National Championship Games, but to win all three.
The MCHC has produced fourteen National Runners-up including Hope College (2003, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2023), Northwood (2006), Davenport (2012), Michigan-Flint (2013), Aquinas College (2016), Calvin (2017), Oakland (2018), Grand Valley State (2019, 2024) and Michigan (2022). Hope College is the first school in Division 3 to make it to four National Championship games.
The ACHA Division 3 National Championship game has featured two MCHC teams (*) eleven times since 2003. However, a MCHC team has been in the Nation Championship every year since 2009. Lawrence Tech is currently defending champions.

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level.
West Michigan and Western Michigan are terms for a region in the U.S. state of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. Generally, it refers to the Grand Rapids-Muskegon-Holland area, and more broadly to most of the region along the Lower Peninsula's Lake Michigan shoreline, but there is no official definition.
The Grand Valley State Lakers football team represents Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in NCAA Division II football. The team currently competes in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and was once affiliated with the now defunct Midwest Intercollegiate Football Conference. The Lakers football team has appeared in six NCAA Division II national title games, winning four championships, since 2001. The team has made the playoffs in 20 seasons. They have also won or shared 17 conference titles.
The Michigan State League was a minor league baseball league that operated in various seasons between 1889 and 1941. The league franchises were based exclusively in Michigan, with the league forming on six different occasions. Twenty two different cities hosted teams in the Michigan State league.
The Pacific Collegiate Hockey Association (PCHA) was a collegiate hockey conference within Division 2 of the ACHA. The PCHA was in operation for more than 40 years and administered the PCHA Playoffs at the conclusion of each regular season. The winner of the PCHA Playoffs received the coveted Adams Cup, named after Cary Adams who started the conference.
The Grand Valley State Lakers are the intercollegiate athletic teams of Grand Valley State University, located in Allendale, Michigan, United States. The GVSU Lakers compete at the NCAA Division II level and are members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Midwest Intercollegiate Football Conference (MIFC) was a football-only NCAA Division II conference active for nine seasons in the 1990s. The creation of the MIFC was announced in February 1989. Conference play began in September 1990.
The Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League (GLCHL) is an American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division I level ice hockey league. The GLCHL is made up of nine schools, including one in Indiana, one in Illinois, and seven in Michigan.
College Hockey South (CHS), formerly known as the South Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference (SECHC), is a non-varsity ice hockey conference in the Southern United States. The conference plays in Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 and Women's Division of Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) College Hockey. The member clubs of College Hockey South are member universities of several different conferences in NCAA athletics.
The Davenport Panthers are the athletic teams that represent Davenport University, located in Caledonia Township, Michigan, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the NCAA Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) for most of its sports as a provisional member since the 2017–18 academic year. The Panthers previously competed in the Wolverine–Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) from 2005–06 to 2016–17.
The 2021 Michigan Tech Huskies football team represented Michigan Tech University during the 2021 NCAA Division II football season. The Huskies competed as members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and played their home games at Kearly Stadium in Houghton, Michigan. This was the program's fifth season under head coach Steve Olson.
The 2022 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament is a postseason men's basketball tournament for the GLIAC of the 2021–22 NCAA Division II men's basketball season which is taking place between March 2–6, 2022. Following the conclusion of the Quarterfinals, the GLIAC announced that the Semifinals and Championship game would be hosted by Michigan Tech in Houghton, Michigan.
