The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the global governing body of cricket. It was founded as the Imperial Cricket Conference in 1909 by representatives from Australia, England, and South Africa. It was renamed as the International Cricket Conference in 1965 and adopted its current name in 1987. The ICC has its headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Bangladesh men's national cricket team, popularly known as The Tigers, is administered by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). It is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with Test, One-Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) status. It played its first Test match in November 2000 against India with a 9 wicket loss in Dhaka, becoming the tenth Test-playing nation. It became an associate member of the ICC in 1977, and competed in six ICC Trophies but performed inconsistently until 1997, which marked the year of their first major victory, winning the 1997 ICC Trophy held in Malaysia. This set Bangladesh on its way of becoming a Test-playing nation, a journey which ended with success on the year 2000.
The Oman men's national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Oman and is governed by Oman Cricket, which became an Affiliate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2000, and gained Associate status in 2014. The national side has played matches at Twenty20 International level. On 24 April 2019, Oman achieved One-Day International status for the first time until 2023, after they beat tournament hosts Namibia by four wickets in 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two.
George Alfred Hele was an Australian cricket umpire who umpired 16 Test matches between 1928 and 1933. He was most famous for his role in the infamous Bodyline series, played between Australia and England during the latter team's 1932–33 tour of Australia. From Adelaide, South Australia, Hele played club cricket, but retired at an early age after an injury. He also played Australian rules football for the West Torrens Football Club in the South Australian Football League (SAFL). He took up umpiring at club level in 1918, and progressed to first-class level shortly after, debuting as an umpire during the 1920–21 Australian cricket season. As South Australia's primary umpire, Hele served in almost every first-class match in the state during the 1920s, both in Sheffield Shield matches involving the South Australian cricket team and in state matches against touring international sides.
Dean Elgar is a former South African cricketer who played Tests and ODIs, and also a former Test captain. He is a left-handed opening batter and a slow-left arm bowler.
Temba Bavuma is a South African international cricketer who is the current captain of the South African cricket team in Tests and ODI cricket, and formerly captained in T20I. He is now predominantly a right-handed opening batsman. He was the first black African cricketer to make a Test century for South Africa and the first to captain the side. Bavuma is one of three South African cricketers to score a century on ODI debut, scoring 113 runs against Ireland in September 2016.
Mitchell Ross Marsh is an Australian international cricketer. Marsh represents Australia in all three forms of cricket, making his debut during the 2011–12 season. Marsh was a part of the Australian team that won two iterations of the Cricket World Cup and the 2021 T20 World Cup.
Ahsan Raza is a Pakistani cricket umpire and former cricketer. In November 2020, in the second Twenty20 International (T20I) between Pakistan and Zimbabwe, he officiated in his 50th T20I match as an on-field umpire, becoming the first umpire to reach the milestone in T20I cricket.
Marais Erasmus is a South African former first-class cricketer who is currently serving as an international cricket umpire. He is a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires and stands in matches in all three formats of international cricket – Test matches, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
Harmanpreet Kaur is an Indian cricketer who serves as the captain of the India women's national cricket team in all formats. She plays for and captains Mumbai Indians in the Women's Premier League. She plays as an all-rounder for the Indian women's cricket team; and was awarded the Arjuna Award for Cricket in the year 2017 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Jason Paul Behrendorff is an Australian cricketer, currently listed with Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers in Australian domestic cricket. He plays for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League and Major League Cricket
Shaun George is a South African former cricketer who later became an international umpire. He is part of Cricket South Africa's umpire panel for first-class matches.
Thomas Kevin Curran, is an English cricketer who represents England in Test matches, One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals. He plays for Surrey County Cricket Club in English domestic cricket. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowling all-rounder. He made his international debut for England in June 2017. He is the son of former Zimbabwe international cricketer Kevin Curran, and the brother of both Northamptonshire CCC batsman Ben Curran and England and Surrey all-rounder Sam Curran.
Raja Raveendra Wimalasiri is a Sri Lankan cricket umpire and former cricketer. He stood in his first One Day International (ODI) on 23 July 2013, between Sri Lanka and South Africa. He stood in his first Twenty20 International (T20I) on 2 August 2013, also between Sri Lanka and South Africa.
Virender Sharma is an Indian international umpire and former cricketer. He played in fifty first-class and forty List A matches for Himachal Pradesh between 1990 and 2006. Sharma stood as an umpire in the Twenty20 tour match between India A vs South Africans on 29 September 2015.
Rashid Riaz is a Pakistani cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer. He has stood in matches in the 2015–16 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He stood in his first Twenty20 International (T20I) match, between Pakistan and Australia, on 28 October 2018. He first One Day International (ODI) match as an umpire, also between Pakistan and Australia, was on 29 March 2019.
Allahudien Paleker is a South African cricket umpire and former cricketer of Maharashtrian descent with roots tracing back to Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra, India. As an umpire, he has stood in matches in the 2015–16 Ram Slam T20 Challenge. He is part of Cricket South Africa's umpire panel for first-class matches.
Donovan Koch is a South African former cricketer and currently an international umpire. He played twenty-one first-class and twenty List A matches between 1997 and 2002. He is now an umpire in Australia.
Phillip J. Gillespie is an Australian cricket umpire and former cricketer. A member of the Australian National Umpire Panel, Gillespie has umpired 6 Women's One Day International cricket matches, 10 first-class matches, 9 List A matches, 10 Twenty20 matches and 9 Women's Twenty20 matches as of March 2017.
