Midnight Spank (formerly G4 Late Nights and Barbed Wire Biscuit) was the former name of a late-night block shown on G4. This block was originally based on G4's recent venture to Williams Street Studios, pioneers of the Adult Swim block on Cartoon Network.[ clarification needed ] G4 Late Nights was made originally to offer similar content to that of Adult Swim. The block offered syndicated content targeted towards the 18-25 male demographic. Midnight Spank aired mostly acquired programming, with occasional original programming.

Midnight Spank premiered on May 8, 2006, at 12 a.m. on G4. [1] The block was discontinued by mid-2008, and encores of G4's primetime schedule aired in the timeslot.

Boo Boo Runs Wild is a 1999 stand-alone animated television special, and a parody of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series The Yogi Bear Show. It was made by The Ren & Stimpy Show creator John Kricfalusi and his company Spümcø. Boo Boo Runs Wild originally aired on Cartoon Network on September 24, 1999, along with A Day in the Life of Ranger Smith, a similar Yogi Bear-themed stand-alone special. Despite Boo Boo being the arguable star of this short, it is title carded as "A Ranger Smith Cartoon". The short is dedicated to Ed Benedict, the original character designer for The Yogi Bear Show and other Hanna-Barbera properties of the 1950s–1960s.

G4's Late Night Peepshow was a TV show on G4 that replaced G4's Happy Tree Friends show when the G4 late night programming block, Barbed Wire Biscuit, was renamed to Midnight Spank. Although with a new name and look, Late Night Peep Show still showed the same materials which were also shown on Happy Tree Friends & Friends including never-before-seen webtoons.

Adult Digital Distraction (ADd) is a block airing on G4 Canada. Similar to Adult Swim and Teletoon at Night, Adult Digital Distraction airs mature comedies. It parallels the American counterpart's Midnight Spank block. Its programming consist of Adult Swim shows, syndicated sitcoms and G4 original series. In late 2011, the block had been discontinued due to pressure from the CRTC. However, in early 2012, the Adult Digital Distraction block had been relaunched.
