La Ley were a Chilean rock band formed by Andrés Bobe, Rodrigo Aboitiz, Luciano Rojas and Mauricio Claveria with Beto Cuevas. The band has won one Grammy Award, two Latin Grammy Awards, three Lo Nuestro Awards and three Premios MTV Latinoamérica.
Belanova is a Mexican pop band that formed in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, in 2000. The group consisted of Denisse Guerrero, Edgar Huerta and Ricardo "Richie" Arreola. Although these are the only three official members, several other musicians performed in the band's live lineup, most notably Israel "Campanita" Ulloa (drums) and Richo Acosta (guitar). The band was signed to Virus Records, owned by Universal Music, in 2002.

The album was released in October 1991 under the production of Jorge Melibosky. Tushar has also done remixes for Korn, Puddle of Mudd and Megadeth, among others.

Parra composed "Gracias a la vida" in La Paz, Bolivia in 1966. It was included on Las Últimas Composiciones, the last album Parra published before dying by suicide in 1967.
