The Public University of Navarre, also known by its acronym UPNA or NUP, is a public university created in 1987 by the government of the Spanish autonomous region of Navarre. It has three campuses located in Pamplona and Tudela. Its activity began in 1989.
IESE Business School is the graduate business school of the University of Navarra. It was established in Barcelona in 1958 by Opus Dei, a Roman Catholic organisation. Navarro-Aragonese was a Romance language once spoken in a large part of the Ebro River basin, south of the middle Pyrenees; the dialects of the modern Aragonese language, spoken in a small portion of that territory, and the Navarrese dialect can be seen as its last remaining forms. The areas where Navarro-Aragonese was spoken might have included most of Aragon, southern Navarre, and La Rioja. It was also spoken across several towns of central Navarre in a multilingual environment with Occitan, where Basque was the native language.
Omar Guerrero Orozco, Ph.D. in Public Administration by the National Autonomous University of Mexico, is full-time professor at the same institution and National Researcher Level III, which is the maximum level. He was director of the National Institute of Public Administration magazine from 1980 to 1982. He was member of the Social Sciences Committee of the National System of Researchers, collegial body in which he served as president (2003). He was recipient in 1979 of the “Public Administration Award” granted by the INAP. Guerrero is also member of the National Academy of Sciences since 1987 and of the Mexican Culture Seminar since 2006.
The flag of Navarre, the flag of the autonomous community of Navarre, was designed in 1910 by Arturo Campión, Julio Altadill, and Hermilio de Oloriz. In 1910, the design was approved by the Provincial Council of Navarre and it was sanctioned by the Organic Law of Reintegration and Improvement of the Regional Government of Navarre of August 10, 1982, which was established in Article 7.2: "The flag of Navarre is red-colored, with a shield in the center."

The 2019 Navarrese regional election was held on Sunday, 26 May 2019, to elect the 10th Parliament of the Chartered Community of Navarre. All 50 seats in the Parliament were up for election. Matilde Huici Navaz was a Spanish educator and lawyer. In addition to her collaboration with María de Maeztu in the Residencia de Señoritas, first official center in Spain established to promote university education for women, and the Lyceum Club Femenino, association of women, she was co-founder of the Association of Spanish University Women and Spanish delegate of the Advisory Commission for Social and Humanitarian Issues of the League of Nations. Exiled in Chile since 1940, Huici founded in 1944 the School of Párvulos Educator of the University of Chile and developed an intense pedagogical activity.
The government of Uxue Barkos was formed on 23 July 2015, following the latter's election as President of the Government of Navarre by the Parliament of Navarre on 20 July and her swearing-in on 22 July, as a result of Geroa Bai (GBai) being able to muster a majority of seats in the Parliament together with EH Bildu and Izquierda-Ezkerra (I–E), with external support from Podemos, following the 2015 Navarrese regional election. It succeeded the Barcina government and was the Government of Navarre from 23 July 2015 to 7 August 2019, a total of 1,476 days, or 4 years and 15 days.
The Jaime Brunet International Prize was established in 1998 with the objective of distinguishing people, organizations and institutions that promote the defence of human rights. It is awarded by the Jaime Brunet Foundation of the UPNA. This award also aims to recognize the work of those who fight to eliminate situations of inhumane or degrading treatment in violation of people's inherent rights to dignity. The prize consists of a diploma, a sculpture commemorating the award and €36,000 in cash.
Carlos Forcadell Álvarez is a Spanish historian, Professor Emeritus of Contemporary History of the University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR). The scope of his academic research includes the history of the labor movement in Spain, the public use of history, political cultures in Spain, historiography as well as the history of Aragon.

Luis Arroyo Martínez is a Spanish sociologist and political scientist, advisor to several governments of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, and consultant to the World Bank. He chairs the Ateneo de Madrid and the communications consulting firm Asesores de Comunicación Pública. He teaches at some universities in Spain and America and is the author of several essays.
