Pirjo Irene Honkasalo is a Finnish film director who has also worked as a cinematographer, film editor, producer, screenwriter and actress. In 1980 she co-directed Flame Top with Pekka Lehto, with whom she worked earlier and later as well. The film was chosen for the 1981 Cannes Film Festival. In the 1990s she focused on feature documentaries such as "The Trilogy of the Sacred and the Satanic". Honkasalo returned to fiction with Fire-Eater (1998) and Concrete Night (2013), both of which were written by Pirkko Saisio. Concrete Night won six Jussi Awards in 2014, among them the Jussi for the Best Direction and the Jussi for the Best Film. Its world premiere was at the Toronto International Film Festival in Masters series.
The Visitor is a 2008 drama film directed by Finnish director Jukka-Pekka Valkeapää. It is a joint production of Finland, Estonia, Germany, and the UK.
Finnish Blood Swedish Heart is a 2013 documentary film by Mika Ronkainen about a Finnish father and son revisiting their former home in Sweden. The film won two Jussi Awards in 2014: Best Documentary and Best Music, and the Dragon Award for Best Nordic Documentary Film at the Göteborg Film Festival in February 2013.
Tero Kaukomaa is a Finnish film producer and the winner of the 'Producer of the Year Award' in 2012 from Suomen Elokuvatuottajien Keskusliitto for Iron Sky.
Hannu-Pekka Juhani Björkman is a Finnish actor who has appeared in theatres, on television and in films. In 2005, he won a Jussi Award for the best actor in a leading role for a film Eläville ja kuolleille. Björkman was married to actress Minna Haapkylä from 2002 to 2014. They have two sons.

The Eternal Road is a 2017 drama film, based on a novel by Antti Tuuri, who also co-wrote the screenplay. The film was directed by Antti-Jussi Annila and stars Tommi Korpela, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Hannu-Pekka Björkman, Irina Björklund and Ville Virtanen. The movie is about American Finn immigrants in the Soviet Union and their fate in Stalin's persecutions in the late 1930s.
All the Sins is a Finnish crime drama television series created and written by film director Mika Ronkainen and journalist Merja Aakko. The series is set in a deeply religious Laestadian Lutheran community in Varjakka, northern Finland. The first season of the series, commissioned by Elisa Viihde, premiered in Finland in April 2019 and the second season in October 2020. The third and final season of 'All the Sins' was released in Finland in December 2022, and internationally in 2023.
Mimosa Helena Willamo is a Finnish actress. In 2015, she was awarded a Jussi Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Headfirst.
The Missile is a 2024 Finnish-Estonian comedy-drama film written and directed by Miia Tervo. Based on the true story of a Russian missile that crashed at Lake Inari in 1984, the film stars Oona Airola as Niina, an archivist for the local newspaper who has just recently left her abusive husband, and finds new confidence and strength in both her career and her personal life as she becomes increasingly drawn into the newspaper's investigation of the incident.
