Mikal Angell Jacobus Landmark

Mikal Angell Jacobus Landmark (27 July 1867 - 27 June 1939) was a Norwegian politician for the Liberal Party.

He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament in 1916, representing the constituency Nordre Nordmør. He served only one term. [1]

Born in Ålesund, he was a great-grandson of a Jens Landmark (1772–1811), brother of Andreas (1769–1839) and Nils Landmark (1775–1859) and uncle of Jens Landmark (1811–1880). [2]

Mikal Landmark mainly worked as a local police sergeant, in Aure, following in his father's footsteps. He was a member of Aure municipal council for some time. [1]

Stemshaug (municipality) Former municipality in Møre og Romsdal, Norway

Stemshaug is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The 157-square-kilometre (61 sq mi) municipality existed from 1914 until its dissolution in 1965. The municipality included the eastern part of the island of Skardsøya and the mainland to the east and south of there surrounding the Dromnessundet and Torsetsundet straits and the Årvågsfjorden. The Tjeldbergodden area on the mainland was also part of Stemshaug. The village of Stemshaug was the administrative centre of the municipality.
