Michael Boateng is a reality TV personality. [1] Boateng first came to public attention in 2020 when he appeared on the sixth series of reality dating show Love Island . [2] [3] [4] Boateng was eliminated on day 41 from the show, narrowly missing the opportunity to participate in the finals. [5] Boateng then went on to appear on Celebrity Ex on the Beach in 2022. [6]

Career

Football

Boateng joined Sheffield United Academy in 2013 [7] signing from non-league side Handsworth FC, where he was team-mates with Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He went on to sign a third-year scholarship at Sheffield United. [8] During his time at Sheffield United, Boateng was loaned out to Emley A.F.C. [9] before returning to Sheffield United at the end of his scholarship and then released from the club. [10]

Love Island

Boateng was employed by Greater Manchester Police where he served two years as a police constable. [11] [12] [13] After two years of police service, Boateng ventured into television, becoming a cast member on the first winter series of Love Island in 2020. [14] He then went on to appear on Celebrity Ex on the Beach in 2022.

Awards

In 2020, Boateng was nominated for a National Reality TV Award in the "Best Male Personality of the Year" category. [15] In 2022, Boateng was again nominated for a National Reality TV Award, this time in the "Reality Personality of the Year" category. [16]

Personal life

Boateng's brother, who changed his name to Samuel Brooksworth, has also participated in reality television. In 2016, he competed as a contestant on the popular reality series, 'The Apprentice'. [17]

MTV in the United States airs an American version of the series.

Brooksworth first came to public attention in 2016 when he became a contestant on BBC One's the Apprentice. After the show Brooksworth founded the Startup Accelerator Build and Master, educating and mentoring entrepreneurs to grow and scale their businesses. In 2020 Brooksworth then founded Remoteli. Remoteli is an on-demand staffing organisation supporting businesses globally in building remote workforces. Services include Business Assistance, Customer Service Support, Social Media Management, Business Development and Software Development. In 2022, Remoteli was named Global Startup of the Year at the Startup Awards National Series.

The first Celebrity series of Ex on the Beach and eleventh overall series began airing on 21 January 2020 with a 90-minute special, and concluded on 28 April following fifteen episodes making this the longest series to date. This series is billed as "Celebrity Ex on the Beach" based on the Brazilian version, it features a set of famous cast members. The series was filmed in Marbella.

The first season of Too Hot to Handle was released on Netflix on April 17, 2020. A ninth episode reunion special was released on May 8. It was filmed in Punta Mita, Mexico.

The second Celebrity series of Ex on the Beach will begin airing on 15 February 2022. It is the twelfth series of the show overall. The series was confirmed in September 2021 when it was announced that filming had begun and would feature another full cast of celebrities rather than civilians. This series was filmed in Gran Canaria.

Callum Alexandré Izzard is an English television personality. In 2018, he began appearing as a holiday rep on the ITV2 reality series Ibiza Weekender and has since appeared on several other series including Celebs Go Dating, Ex on the Beach: Peak of Love, Celebrity Ghost Trip and Celebrity Karaoke Club.
