Mike Brown (born September 9, 1981) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender.
Brown attended Ferris State University where he played four seasons (2001–2005) of NCAA hockey in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) with the Ferris State Bulldogs. In his freshman season he was named to the 2001–02 CCHA All-Rookie Team. [1] The following season he was again recognized for his outstanding play when he was named to the 2002–03 CCHA All-Conference First Team, [2] and was also selected to the 2002–03 NCAA (West) First All-American Team. [3]
Brown went on to play the 2005–06 season in the ECHL with the Fresno Falcons and Columbia Inferno.

The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) is a college athletic conference in the Midwestern United States that participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. The current CCHA began play in the 2021–22 season; a previous incarnation, which the current CCHA recognizes as part of its history, existed from 1971 to 2013. Four of its nine members are located in the state of Michigan, with three in Minnesota and one each in Ohio and South Dakota. It has also had teams located in Alaska, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Nebraska over the course of its existence.
The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) is a college ice hockey conference which operates in the Midwestern United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I as a women's-only conference.
Ronald Herbert Mason was a Canadian ice hockey player, head coach, and university executive. A head coach of various American universities, most notably Michigan State University (MSU), he was the most successful coach in NCAA ice hockey history between 1993 and 2012 with 924 wins, until Jerry York became the new winningest coach with his 925th career win on December 29, 2012. Mason was athletic director at MSU from 2002 to 2008. He then served as senior advisor for the USHL Muskegon Lumberjacks. On December 2, 2013, Mason was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's ice hockey team is the college ice hockey team of the University of Notre Dame, competing at the NCAA Division I level as an associate member of the Big Ten Conference. The Irish play their home games at Compton Family Ice Arena. The head coach of the Fighting Irish is Jeff Jackson, and his assistant coaches are Paul Pooley, Andy Slaggert, and Max Mobley.

The school's team competes in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. The Falcons last played in the NCAA Men's Division I Ice Hockey Tournament in 2019. The Falcons have won one NCAA Division I championship, coming in 1984, defeating the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs in the longest championship game in the tournament's history.
The Michigan Wolverines men's ice hockey team is the college ice hockey team that represents the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Earning varsity status in 1922, the program has competed in 102 seasons. Between 1959 and 1981, the team competed in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) before joining the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) until the 2012–13 season. Since the 2013–14 season, the Wolverines have competed in the Big Ten, which began sponsoring hockey.

The Omaha Mavericks men's ice hockey team, also called the Nebraska Omaha Mavericks and UNO Mavericks, is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents the University of Nebraska Omaha. The Mavericks are a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC). They play home games at Baxter Arena, an on-campus facility that opened in 2015. The Mavericks hockey program was started in 1997; the team has qualified for the NCAA tournament on four occasions, in 2006, 2011, 2015, and 2021. During the 2015 tournament, the team made their first appearance in the tournament semifinals, branded by the NCAA as the Frozen Four. The Mavericks competed in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) between 1999 and 2010 before joining the WCHA for the 2010–11 season. The 1997–98 Michigan Wolverines men's ice hockey team represented the University of Michigan in intercollegiate college ice hockey during the 1997–98 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season. The head coach was Red Berenson and the team captain was Matt Herr. The team played its home games in the Yost Ice Arena on the university campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The team finished second in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association regular season, lost in the semifinals of the CCHA Tournament and won the 1998 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament.
The CCHA Rookie of the Year is an annual award given out at the conclusion of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association regular season to the best freshman player in the conference as voted by the coaches of each CCHA team.
