Mike Catalana is the Sports Director of WHAM-TV, the ABC affiliate in Rochester, New York. His professional career began in 1986 when he became the Sports Director at WMGC-TV, the ABC affiliate in Binghamton, New York. He came to WOKR (now WHAM) in Rochester as the weekend sports anchor and reporter in December 1987. After 16 months, he was named the station's Sports Director in December 1989.

Mike Catalana served as the sideline reporter for the Buffalo Bills Television network on MSG Western New York during the NFL pre-season from 2000 to 2017; he lost that position after MSG signed a syndication deal with Nexstar Media Group (owners of rival station WROC-TV) in 2018. [1] He lost his remaining positions with MSG when the company hired Maddy Glab to fill his remaining posts there in 2019. [2] Catalana is the pre-game and between period host of Amerks Hockey games on MSG. Mike also anchors a daily sports report for “The 5 O’clock News Hour” on WHAM radio in Rochester. [3]

Catalana attended St. Augustine College Preparatory School in Richland, New Jersey and graduated in 1985 with a bachelor's degree from Ithaca College where he studied media. [4]

WUHF, virtual channel 31, is a Fox-affiliated television station licensed to Rochester, New York, United States. Greg Gumbel is an American television sportscaster. He is best known for his various assignments for CBS Sports. The older brother of news and sportscaster Bryant Gumbel, he became the first African-American announcer to call play-by-play of a major sports championship in the United States when he announced Super Bowl XXXV for the CBS network in 2001. Gumbel is currently a play-by-play broadcaster for the NFL on CBS as well as the studio host for CBS' men's college basketball coverage.

He was formerly a journalist for ESPN from 1993 to 2008. He was often seen as one of the anchors for ESPNews.

WSYR-TV ABC affiliate in Syracuse, New York

WSYR-TV, virtual channel 9, is an ABC-affiliated television station licensed to Syracuse, New York, United States. The station is owned by Nexstar Media Group. Spectrum Sports (New York)

Spectrum Sports was a network of regional sports cable television stations serving much of the upstate New York area. The stations, which were owned and operated by Charter Communications through its acquisition of Time Warner Cable in May 2016, were available in Rochester, Binghamton, Syracuse and Buffalo. The network broadcast a variety of local college and minor league sports games and was the de facto successor to the Buffalo-based Empire Sports Network. Unlike most regional sports networks, Spectrum Sports was never available on satellite television, nor was it available in areas of upstate that are served by companies other than Charter Spectrum/Time Warner Cable.

Tina Cervasio American sports anchor

Tina Cervasio is an American sports anchor. She is the lead Sports Anchor for Good Day New York on Fox 5 NY WNYW and the host of Sports Extra on Sunday nights at 10:30 in New York City. She has worked for CBS Sports Network as a sideline reporter, SiriusXM NBA Radio as a host, the New York Red Bulls television broadcasts as the pre-game and halftime host and reporter. Cervasio is the winner of Seven New York Emmy Awards as part of the New York Knicks Broadcasts on MSG Networks from 2008 to 2015.

Joseph "Duke" Castiglione Jr. is an American news anchor for WCVB-TV Boston’s NewsCenter 5 weekend newscasts. He was the sports journalist, Sports Anchor for WNYW Fox 5 Good Day New York in New York City. He also was the host of Sports Extra on Sunday at 10:30 p.m. Before WNYW, he worked as a fill-in sports anchor and reporter at WHDH-TV, the now-former NBC affiliate in Boston. He also worked at WCBS-TV CBS 2 in New York, where he was the weekday morning sports anchor until 2006. His first New York job was hosting Sports on 1, a nightly call-in show, for the NY1 local network, beginning in 2000. He was a field reporter for ESPN's baseball coverage during the 2005 and 2006 seasons.

Don Alhart is the main news anchor and Associate News Director for WHAM-TV in Rochester, New York. Alhart began his professional television career at WOKR-TV in 1966 after graduating from Ithaca College.

David Muir American broadcast journalist

David Jason Muir is an American journalist and the anchor of ABC World News Tonight and co-anchor of the ABC News magazine 20/20, part of the news department of the ABC broadcast-television network, based in New York City. Muir previously served as the weekend anchor and primary substitute anchor on ABC's World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer, subsequently succeeding her on September 1, 2014. At ABC News, Muir has won multiple Emmy and Edward R. Murrow awards for his national and international journalism.

The Sabres Hockey Network is the official radio network and production company of the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL). The network is currently operated jointly by the Sabres and Audacy, Inc.

MSG Western New York

MSG Western New York is an American regional sports network that is a joint venture between MSG Entertainment and Pegula Sports and Entertainment. The channel is a sub-feed of MSG Network, with programming oriented towards the Western New York region, including coverage of the National Hockey League's Buffalo Sabres and the National Football League's Buffalo Bills. It replaced MSG Network on television providers in the Sabres' media market in 2016.
